I think a lot of the pain people are feeling in this game is lack of reading. Like how its taking some people hours to get off the tutorial island. I know some of you have the attention span of a gold fish but if you take the time to read and not just skip the dialogue it will tell you what you need to do.

I’d be fine if I never saw this douche’s face again, even in meme format.

I find that reading the description of the shrine that pops up when you enter it helps a lot with understanding what I am supposed to do. I know people hate reading, but I do highly recommend trying it.

It’s interesting how certain puzzles will stump some people while others will figure it out instantly. This one only took me a minute to solve, but I’ve gotten stuck on some that other folks found incredibly obvious.

Hi, filthy casual here with a filthy casual question:

Ew, god please don’t let Zelda go down the same path Assassin’s Creed did.

You sound like the kind of person who uses some of their potions in RPGs instead of saving all of them for when you REALLY need them (never).

But everything in TotK is a weapon and tool?

“This game doesn’t cater to my playstyle”=/=“bad game design.”

To be fair the whole point of the system originally was to make sure most people don’t just abandon using items for the sake of power. I picked up a sword that does all the damage so now why would I ever use anything else...

> there was a way to repair or increase durability

The fact that clubs/decayed swords/makeshift items are pretty much everywhere, and the fact that it’s very easy to get parts off the Zonai robots, means I’m seconds away from putting together a bespoke weapon for that specific situation and I absolutely love that.

You do you, but I (and I guess a majority of players, based on their decision to keep it) would have been disappointed if they had removed it. I think it really added a lot to the gameplay and environment.

Of course they will—this is how they cope. It can’t be that people genuinely enjoy Zelda games. Nah, it has to be journalists are bias and completely blind to how mid these games are. It can’t be people genuinely enjoy the Switch as a handheld/console hybrid and don’t really mind or care whether the game is playing

Am I the only one who thinks Disco Elysium feels like college undergrad masturbatory pseudo-intellectual rubbish?

This is an objectively false lie. Coal EVs use less fossil fuels than gasoline and produce less total emissions along the whole supply chain than an ICE vehicle.

I mean given the constant backtracking, if enemies didn't respawn, it would be a pretty boring, lifeless game.

Funnily enough, I would say I don’t even enjoy mid-level play in Civ. I get whooped by like, the 3rd difficulty tier out of the 40 there are, largely because militaries are mostly an inconvenience I have to occasionally interact with to deal with barbarians or a neighbor getting frisky to me.

And for me, I also enjoy

I fully expect high-level players to say this, this kinda stuff is built specifically for fiends like that!
