I didn’t expect to see Prime 4 yet, sadly, all I was hoping for was Prime Trilogy or some kind of 2D collection...hell, I’d have taken an Other M remaster (that game sucks because of the story, but the gameplay is solid).

What I was not in a million years expecting was Nintendo resurrecting Dread.

As a Metroid mega-nerd

Metroid games have plots?

Even with BOTW forced weapon durability I ended up with more weapons than I needed, and I'm a casual player. It was fine.

recently playing the Assassin’s Creed DLC had me realizing the ONE good thing from BOTW’s system, and that’s that i generally used a much wider variety of weapons. I ended AC:Valhalla with the exact same gear and weapons i started the game with, albeit upgraded, and can’t say the experience was any better or worse for

Never has the number 5 filled me with such excitement.

I like that this seems to be expanding the Metroid lore, which the franchise desperately needs. Good to have Samus face off against somebody other than Ridley and his goons, Mother Brain, or Metroid Prime.

i’d rather have a new modern sidescroller than Prime 4... not gonna lie about that.  Fusion was astonishingly bad, but I still carry a torch for an up-to-date 2d metroid that’s treated like a serious series entry.

I just want to play a game in that world. The setting is really what sells the game for me more than anything.

I hate stats still being tied to your cosmetics though.  That is some straight up 2000's shit right there.

Yeah, I’m playing through it right now on a gaming laptop, and it runs great. It’s just y’know, not great. I can see where it could be a game on par with The Witcher 3. I can see which missions and storylines were crafted with care and which weren’t. Am I having fun? Yep. Sunk 60 hours into it so far, and I’m

I’m sure this has to do with how the PS Store is structured and more technical details I’m unfamiliar with, but I wonder why they can’t at least offer it on the PS5.  It plays just fine on that console.  I mean, it’s buggy.  But what game isn’t buggy nowadays?  But frame rate and texture-wise, it’s perfectly fine.  I

FADE IN

Not only am I not getting a PS5, I just re-bought an Xbox 360!

I also am quite glad to have one, but agree that it is by no means a “must-have” item at this point. I’m still mostly using it to catch up on PS4 games!

I completely agree. I got lucky one morning when I checked walmart and saw I could buy disc version with 2 controllers. But like there’s nothing I really need the PS5 to play. I guess there’s the extra PS+ games which, for the love of God, add to your library even if you don't have a PS5 yet.

On the other hand:

While I’m glad I got (and have) a PS5, I generally agree with this. There’s nothing that is an absolute must have on the system yet, though as someone who never upgraded to a PS4 Pro, it’s been nice to have something that performs better.

Don’t you mean, Is it safe to Return-al now?

desperately tried to get some loot, only to meet a grizzly fate.”

This game is just too hard for me. I just don’t have the twitch reflexes for it. I can play souls games because they are much more forgiving with the timings, you just have to learn the fights. In this game you have a fraction of a second to respond to an attack then another fraction of second to line up you shot. I’m
