But where is it coming from that Americans hate pissing contests or power grabs? I know many people will claim they hate political partisanship, but they’re usually full of shit. The reason political attack ads still exist is because they work, and because Americans like leaders that don’t shrink from a fight.

Then Mike Pence, who was on his way to losing re-election in Indiana, has to run for re-election in a nationwide race. There’s a reason that flavorless sack of flour didn’t even bother running in the wide-open Republican primary last time around.

Setting the precedent that our leaders can nakedly flaunt the rule of law and engage in breathtaking corruption just because polls say impeachment is mildly unpopular has far more dire consequences.

Probably because some right lane-driving asshole wouldn’t take their foot off the gas to let someone merge and they had to come to a complete stop in the on-ramp.

Slowing down a bit to allow someone to zipper merge at speed is the opposite of creating a hazard. Expecting someone to come to a complete stop in an on-ramp and then somehow enter highway traffic is exponentially more dangerous and stupid.

In one of those scenarios a sporting event or a commute is disrupted, and in another multiple innocent people going about their day are shot and killed.

He’s jumping onto the back of the train and entering the empty cab from the outside.

Why wouldn’t you just slow down a little and let them in?

The flip side of that is when you can visibly see ample standing room in the middle of the train between doors, yet everybody just stops near the entrances and creates a crush.

And still wearing that outfit.

She’s a Republican from Arizona, she’s just trying to fit in.

He’s not dumb. He espouses very dumb ideas, but only because it’s immensely profitable to him personally. This shithead has spent a lifetime grifting racist rubes and their local governments and has managed to fail upward at almost every turn. He’s evil, not stupid.

There was a hell of a lot more legwork put in for Dany’s character being obsessed with accumulating more and more power and adopting a Messiah complex than there would have been for her to “grow” and sacrifice her own ambitions for others or the good of the realm.

The Night’s Watch mission is pretty much irrelevant now that the Night King is dead and a truce has been reached with the wildlings. What Jon did may be against the rules, but I doubt anybody will care too much. Being forced to join the Night’s Watch was always just a form of exile.

She clearly wanted to get the hell out of Westeros. She’s likely suffering from severe PTSD, which can be triggered by virtually any location she’s been in, and she doesn’t want to murder any more people. How does her decision to seek something new not make sense, other than it apparently doesn’t track your fan fiction

I honestly can’t understand people that think this episode was boring. Especially after bitching about how this season was spent racing from plot point to plot point.

Roberts won’t have the balls to be the Republican that singlehandedly upholds Roe v Wade. He might literally have to move his family into witness protection if he casts that vote.

Missouri is like most other states — the cities are blue, the rural areas are bright red, and despite there being a nearly equal number of Republican and Democratic voters state-wide, it is overwhelmingly controlled by Republicans.

I’m glad you’re alive Drew. Sorry you and your family have had to go through all this. I hope you get back to at least a semblance of full strength soon. Please keep writing stuff so I can keep reading it.

Ha, at this point I might take that, since I don’t think we’ll ever see Dream of Spring (at least not by GRRM).
