Why does he talk like that during videos? I want to watch the reviews but I can’t go 20 seconds with that voice.

How the hell would an investigation prove a negative? Why would he need something investigated that he knew couldn’t exist? That fact that he was doing the “asking for a friend” way of possibly seeing if Comey might find out if there’s a tape out there effectively proves that it happened.
I don’t think most of those presidents had illegitimate children.
In line with this article, I do wish the national media could refrain from chasing every shiny particle of meaningless gossip around every single day and maintain focus on more important stories.
Ted Cruz finished second to Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary. Republicans may pretend to hate Ted Cruz when in decent company, but they fucking love everything he stands for.
The relatively small percentage of Bernie Bros that refused to vote for Clinton or voted for Trump were never going to vote for Clinton. They were not Democrats that abandoned the party, they were independents or Republicans that were going to vote for a certain Democrat.
Once again, these goddam morons are going to put The Onion out of business.
Sometimes we should spend less money on things.
My suspicion is that he cashes in the work he’s done at some Koch-backed consulting firm. After a few years of the Republican Party eating itself during and in the aftermath of Trump, he’ll re-emerge as a “refreshing return to sober professionalism” and “true conservatism for the Republican Party.”*
This is a very good point. There’s an underlying cynicism here that the vast majority of people that engage in boycotts are too stupid or ignorant to understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it, and that those calling for boycotts are doing so only for their own personal gain.

So if she’s just going to refer back to the president’s comments on every question, and she doesn’t appear to know anything otherwise, why even bother with a press conference at all?
“They only have a problem with X when they’re the ones on the receiving end.”
Are we pretending that the boycott of Laura Ingraham was just because of her childish insults of a teenager she disagreed with politically, and not her entire rotten body of work leading up to the latest terrible evidence of her vile nature?
It means “Hey, I can use this to portray myself as a victim while attacking others!”
I think their counterargument is that the “mainstream” is moving away from the truth — which is, of course, truth as they define it. And on a large enough abstract, sure, there’s a chance of that occurring. Imagine if it became taboo to discuss climate change.
On this front, I’ve actually seen a few media personalities and commentators try to argue that boycotts are out of bounds, most notably Bill Maher.
While I assume Mueller has contingencies planned for his firing, I still don’t understand why people continue to assert that if and when Trump does it, that will be his end. Congressional Republicans are not going to turn on him until their base stops being his base, and that’s not even close to happening yet.
