We tried to rationalize the same thing about how Republicans would treat Donald Trump.

Actually, increases in cigarette taxes are directly linked with decreases in smoking, particularly among teens and young adults, and increases in alcohol taxes have been linked to significant decreases in drunk driving accidents and deaths.

“As I said, there is no 100% “fair” way to tax that doesn’t hurt someone.. “

“Personally taxes should be more based on your purchases/acquisitions rather than some nominal income number that only hurts those that have to spend a larger percentage of their income on necessary services for survival.”

That photo doesn’t show him groping her, it shows him pretending to grope her.

But if that background is of someone affiliated with a political movement known for blatant lies, and a religious movement known for engaging in outright fantasy for the sake of self aggrandizement ...

I think accusations can be taken seriously without treating them as 100% true without any investigation. Surely we can see what a dangerous and easily (and inevitably) exploited precedent we’ve established. Will any of us be shocked when, say, Katrina Pierson or Ann Coulter or a similar right-wing agitator (like

atch has been in the Senate since 1976. Here’s how middle class wages have done during his time in office, spent fighting “for people who don’t have a chance”:

That’s a Will Forte character right? No way is that guy real.

It’s frustrating to me that so-called “moderate” Republicans were supporting Moore and his very non-moderate theocratic politics until it came out that he was a predator of teenage girls. And then that only has them begrudgingly dropping support, which won’t go to his Democratic opponent, meaning they can only muster

Yeah, you don’t know what you’re talking about either and seem to be projecting now in pursuit of your Pollanna perspective.

But that 33% approval that you keep pointing to isn’t nearly as important as his support among Republicans, his support in battlefield states and his support in those areas where Senate seats will be up for election.

So I agree with a lot of this, but I still think you’re far too optimistic and naive about this being a spurt of impotent rage from the right. And you seem to be misunderstanding my point about Trump’s base of support and what it means.

You mean “detention centers?” They’re already building those on the border. For now they’re only for illegal immigrants.

I can’t tell which comment you’re responding to. But regardless, you’re the one positing that Trump is only supported by a small minority of the Republican Party, which is provably false by looking at any poll numbers. You’re the one relying solely on “feelings and guesses” because you apparently desperately want to

His mandate is that he’s the president. Political gravity has changed in the last year.

Huh? They’ve been trying to bring down Hillary for years.

“I honestly don’t ascribe to this positional view at all. Trump does not still have the “Republican base.” Trump has his own base, who are a very small minority in terms of political view.”

I’m of the opinion that this doesn’t end peacefully. This has gone beyond political partisanship — there is no more a mutually agreed-upon “reality.” And the Republicans are quickly going full fascist, putting party and tribe over all else, particularly country, justice and the rule of law.

And they actually cost much less to the consumer when you factor in inflation.
