NP. It runs, it probably gets 45mpg, and if nothing else it could be your winter beater for a few seasons.

More proof that Trump is total imbecile when it comes to understanding business. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
Me? I’d go for a Volvo or Subaru wagon and make it into a bit of a safari car — roof rack/basket for camping stuff or kayaks, knobby tires for a bit of trail capability, add some lights and maybe a push bar to the front end, etc. Outfit the interior with a 12V fridge (maybe powered by a solar panel on the roof?). It’d…
Follow any randomly selected driver here in SWFL for a day and I guarantee you’ll see a lot more shit worth writing about.
That’s a brilliant scam. Charge people $20 to submit their nonsense to you. I actually wish I’d thought of that.
Yup, that’s the beast. Thanks for adding the pic.
Good take. I love my Maverick hybrid. It’s just so damn good for just about any mission -- reasonable hauling, road trips, light towing, commuting, Costco runs, errands, and it’s even kind of fun t drive.
Reskin that 4-cylinder Mustang as something more contemporary, add a little simplicity/lightness, call it something like, I dunno, Probe, and sell it for 30K. I bet it would do fairly well as as a Miata/86 competitor. Simple entry level Ford fun car.
Stellantis’ woes are going mainstream — event CNN is talking about it on their homepage
But they will soon find out, or at least feel the impact.
I think it’s more to save us from each other, not ourselves.
The thing that disgusts/terrifies me is that as enthusiasts we’re a group of people savvy enough to catch this stuff and know what’s right, what’s suspect, and what’s outright BS. How many single women, elderly, and otherwise non-automotive types are getting scammed by these guys each and every day? It’s freaking…
Want to reduce that number? It’s simple — get rid of the NHSTA and/or just stop reporting numbers. That’s how we kept the Covid death toll so low here in FL!
Honestly, I’ve always had good experiences with the DMV here in Florida. The only time you see anger and frustration are when people show up without having read the instructions on what you need to bring. The website is pretty clear, and 95% of it is common sense anyway. I actually feel sympathy to the workers that…
Oh heavens no. Just one look at those dated graphics on the rear-seat screens reminds me of all the outdated tech and pricy repairs this thing will certainly need down the road. Big modified barges like this weren’t real popular back in their heyday; I’d say there’s far less appeal for them now.
I gotta say, this particular example — maybe it’s the color — doesn’t look ridiculous as did every other one I’ve seen. I dare say the design has even improved with age.
What will they fall for next?
I agree in principal, but sadly I think that Americans today would stay away in droves because everyone’s expectations are so high now and no one wants to look poor. I mean, look how many people out there are making horrible purchase decisions when they can’t cover next month’s rent?
That sad thing about even asking this question is that it’s actually hard to name a Stellantis brand vehicle from the last 30 or so years that could/would be relevant in today’s market. They did pretty well with the Sebring convertible back in its day but that was largely because it was the only convertible in the…
