Shitbag fled, which escalated the situation.  This could have been resolved in a 10 minute conversation with the police.  Instead Shitbag blew the situation up.

Sure, running vastly improves your chances of surviving an encounter with the police.  They are much more likely to react with a level headed, calm response after you've fled and run multiple red lights.

No, dude, I fucking pull the car over, show some personal accountability, and take my ticket. I DO NOT speed away, risking my life, and other’s lives, so I can avoid the stupid ticket.

I have suddenly lost my job, twice. Made out okay because I wasn’t over extended. I knew my limits, and stayed well within them. No flashy cars, no fancy house, and no credit cards, other than what was absolutely necessary to live in today’s world.

Ha! Joke’s on you. I was laid off unexpectedly from my residential construction job in the crash, but, because of my previous good choices, I was able to ride it out, keep my house, keep my truck, retrain, and now I have an even better job.

Not a republican, not a conservative. What I witnessed was not isolated incidents. I worked at a couple different grocery stores. One small, one larger chain. I saw it over and over again for years.

I don’t identify as liberal or conservative, I think identity politics are a major problem with the country right now. Both sides are corrupt to the core.

Your parent’s station in life definitely helps, but mine were broke as fuck, and I cracked 6 figures last year. I’m pretty happy where I’m at. Taking personal responsibility for your own life is huge.

I grew up with thrifty shopper clothes. Kmart was splurging for us. I’m familiar with being fucking poor. I started working at 12. I started as a laborer for a construction company at 20, I busted my ass and made foreman a few years later.
