I had the same thought and one more: surely the local affiliates are better at knowing what their viewers want to watch. They’re the ones sending ad sales reps out and hearing about the shitty games that get carried, etc. But sure! Having corporate push down a decision works too...

It’s like when I drive into a rotary (or traffic circle, depending on your regional tastes).

Aaaaaand they’re $100 now

Aaaaaand they’re $100 now

An infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of pitches could get lucky and hit the HR. Same goes for you, me, or Janice from accounting.

It’s the second (and third and fourth) tier of spending that makes those numbers seem possible... when shady math is used.

As an actual Florida Man (well, a man in Florida - not a “Florida Man”), can I just say a big ol’ F U to my fellow citizens who keep making Florida Man a thing? Sheesh.

Even without watching the video: can we all agree that is Michael Phelps? Just look at that screengrab.

Yeah, I wonder about this too. Did James just give Jones a taxable gift? Okay, fine, this one is under the annual gift exclusion amount. But let’s say it’s a $50,000 fine that James pays on his behalf. Hmmm...

A 2017 Mazda, because using their buggy, slow, proprietary infotainment system will make you want to kill yourself.

When the article at issue is cops not having “respect for the law” I’m right there with you - that’s pretty pathetic. When people are outraged at unchecked police power or a narrative where the police are presumed to be always right, I give a bit of pause to make sure I’m not just blindly giving “respect” where it’s

I know! Can you imagine the public, who’s trust you are expected to have unconditionally and automatically, expecting you to follow the very laws you are sworn to uphold? What a crock. 🙄

Very (VERY) recently I got a message from a friend as they landed: they were waiting to deplane because she’s pretty sure a lady died a few rows ahead of them. Yep. Died, in her seat, during the flight. Her neighbor alerted the flight attendants “that I think she stopped breathing” and they couldn’t resuscitate her.

And if anyone can explain to me how a Highlander isn’t merely a minivan that (1) gets worse gas mileage, (2) has less convenient doors and child-loading ability, (3) is more expensive, and (4) isn’t called a minivan... I’m all ears. They spent years marketing it with the Muppets. It’s. A. Minivan.

Per an actual sign at the game last night, it will be called “Trippin’: The Fall of Grayson Allen”

If Grayson Allen was black, he wouldn’t be a starting guard for Duke (hey-oh!)

You just WRITE IT OFF, Jerry! Everyone knows this.

Me — an accountant — anytime I hear how great it is that a business can just “write off” whatever it is

Jeep Wrangler may not be what you had in mind, but it would do the job

In re: the terrible infotainment system, I repeat myself, although I didn’t know Honda’s was also so terrible... at least they offer Android/Apple options on most of their models.
