Those navi systems that cost $2k used to be great profit centers I’m sure. Too bad a $50 cell phone with $35/month service from Cricket does the same thing a better job.

no doubt

The Mazda system is so bad I won’t consider buying one of their vehicles. I drive (for work) too often to be stuck with a frustrating system, or one that I have to replace/upgrade as soon as I buy a BRAND NEW VEHICLE.

5th: Good lord, the Toyota “smart” system is so terrible. Mazda’s is almost as bad. I’m with you, Patrick - hey, just build the car. Let me decide how I want to get my entertainment to my speakers. If I want Android Auto, great. Apple CarSomething, great. But no one is buying a car because the automaker’s programmers

I really did like that car, and it was very well maintained. Truly. But I’m telling you, no matter how new the brakes were, no matter how hard I slammed on the pedal - it took a while for that tank to stop. I’ll blame the north Florida humidity if you want. A one-in-a-million manufacturing defect. But I won’t blame

Maintenance is fine and expected. Not being able to roll down two windows at once without blowing a series of fuses is just silly. Seriously - a series of fuses. Isn’t the whole point of individual circuits and fuses so you don’t lose all your systems when one has a problem?

Of course that will be the last car you’ll ever need; you’ll die because of it.

I do what I can!

So this particular case looks like a “he says it’s because he spoke Arabic” / “Delta says because he’s an asshole and caused a disturbance” sort of thing. But it still reminds me of a flight I took last week...

A list of terrible Christmas/holiday songs that doesn’t start with Feliz Navidad isn’t the list for me.

New life goal: having those guys work for me. I think the rednecks in big ol’ pickup trucks who live around here would *really* respond well to it.

Neutral: Mazda survives by abandoning this overly-complicated, not-even-a-touch-screen, why-oh-why-can’t-it-just-work infotainment system and control center...

Years of backing blindspot-laden SUVs and minivans out of suburban parking lots prepared him for that moment. Just gun it and hope for the best. At least that’s what happens around here (in, ahem, Florida).

I looked at the label on the Melting Pot’s garlic & wine seasoning one time. It’s just salt and shit. But there are something like 17,000 servings per container. That seems a bit aggressive.

to be honest I expected just a huge fucking map of the world

yes

I can’t speak to local regulations. But broadly speaking, the research (not just rhetoric) shows that voter ID laws are a “solution in search of a problem.” There just isn’t any substantive evidence to suggest the cost on the poorest members of our society outweighs the benefits of the ID requirement.

1) You’re not wrong.
2) That’s adorable. I’m pretty sure “state’s rights” in the 2000s only means “the ability to restrict access to abortion, commit civil rights violations against minorities, and enact modern day poll taxes via Voter ID laws.”

I see the Trump presidency is off to a good start: throwback limos!

re: Email of the week — he absolutely made the right decision, his only slip up was not being super suave about it. Missed opportunity. Who doesn’t want to be the creepy “let me help you put your underwear away” neighbor?
