I know this is the racing forum so I’m in the minority here... but my complaint is relaly the same for all professional sports/events. What is the real benefit of that sponsorship to Target? Did you use the USPS more when Lance Armstrong was pedaling up the Alps in their jerseys? Do you remember to shop with Allstate

7 AM is rude. But I am absolutely out there at 7:30 on a weekday (say, Friday-then-go-to-work-late). On a weekend? I stare down my watch until 8:00:00.00001 and then pull the cord.

Counterpoint: I would be okay with Pinkeye 2: The Reckoning. That was hilarious. Except for the part where Costas was probably miserable. But him looking like a Bond villain? That was great.

Unfortunately for Nakamura, insurance companies specialize in being dishonest.

One more bit of diesel news, I promise. (Today, at least. What would Morning Shift be without Dieselgate, Takata, Tesla, Sergio Marchionne or whatever the latest General Motors crisis is?)

TL; DR (yet) but still the sad answer from the headline alone is YES.

Factually inaccurate re: the fresh water, but that’s okay. I think the upper 47 would just let us go and consider it a win all around. But we’re sending Marco Rubio to, oh I don’t know, Idaho or something. We don’t want him.

The bigger the grill, the bluer the pill...

You think the buffer on a youtube video is bad? Wait until lag causes your car to crash while you’re sitting in it (as you scream at your car to let you take back control)...

I can’t understand the good ratings, and I say that as someone rooting for the Cavs. It’s not fun to watch and everyone knows exactly who gets the trophy at the end. See you next May for PLAYOFFS ‘17!

“It’s a deal*! Now just step in to the business office where you’ll get* your charging token*. Those asterisks? Don’t worry about it. Sign h3re and we’ll 3xplain ‘em soon 3nough.”

I’ve been a bit confused by the absence of supercharges in starbucks parking lots. Seems like a natural fit, although space considerations are tricky... around here a lot of starbucks are wedged in where there isn’t really much extra room.

“eked out” you say?

I assumed all lacrosse players were named “Brodie” or some close synonym

Wait, you mean an advertiser might be lying to us?

I can never get past the idea that a “Mikaela” came walking off the street to the focus group and they happened to have an engraved name tag ready for her. Or maybe she sat around long enough for them to go make one and was still that impossibly happy.

On paper it’s the obvious choice for the non-contractor, non-farming types who want a pickup truck. But it looks like a freaking sedan. They’ll sell even fewer of these than they did of the first gen, and that’s almost hard to do.

Neutral (and 1st I guess): It’ll take some convincing. The cabin I visit in the N.C. mountains is at the end of a long gravel road that ends with a steep uphill climb along an even worse gravel path. Let me watch someone else’s autonomous car go up & down that - safely - about 500 times and then we can talk.

Ponder wasn’t, like, UNTHINKABLE as a pretty high draft choice... he showed potential, had a good size, and could cannon he ball... but knowing what we knew about his elbow injuries, and the team’s general mediocrity around that time, it was an odd time to swing for the fences.

I’m an FSU fan but still, I freely agree: that was a crazy high, bad-idea, waste of a pick.
