Microsoft’s splash page for Azure says it is bigger and in more regions than AWS and google combined, but if it’s anything like how every cellular company has the biggest and best 4G coverage it could all be spin. Also, the article you linked is 8 months old, so maybe Microsoft surpassed them.

Azure is bigger and in more regions than both Google and amazon combined, per Microsoft’s own splash page for Azure. And, for the record, I am not bashing AWS, I’m saying that Microsoft has a platform readily available and for free for their console, compared to Sony and Nintendo. Crackdown is an extremely impressive

1. Azure cloud is twice as big as the next 2 competitors combined (amazon/google).

But allowing Sony to add a bulletpoint to the PS4 that the Xbox One has over them does not make sense for Microsoft. Renting a cloud farm does not make sense for Sony, nor does making their own (especially because sans-PS4 they are hemorrhaging money). The cost renting up to 12 servers per user (as we saw in the IGN

Making a cloud computing system for gaming does not make fiscal sense, period. Azure is a Billion dollar infrastructure that Sony or Nintendo do not have the means to do, and why would Microsoft allow a competitor access to them? Right now cloud computing is a benefit that only Microsoft can offer, no matter how you

Compare Azure to any other cloud computing resource out there and you will find them severely lacking. Hate Microsoft all you want, but this is their territory. Add in the fact that developers can use it for free, why would they purchase/rent an inferior product?

For the record, Microsoft has said usage of their Azure servers on Xbox One titles will be free.

It’s not so much that only Microsoft can, it’s the simple fact that they already DO do this. Simply put, Azure is twice as big as Google and Amazon’s offerings combined. When it comes to cloud (and the computing power neccessary for something like Crackdown 3) it’s all about the infrastructure, and right now it’s

Microsoft Azure infrastructure =/= any cloud network.

Microsoft Azure servers are not servers that ‘any’ other console can use. The reason it works is because Microsoft has built the infrastructure for it. Nintendo and Sony don’t have access to them, nor do they have anything that rivals them.

My trademark dumb move: while frantically trying to run away, I will click on the minimap and turn right back into the enemy, immediately dying. I’d like to say this only happened a few times, but then I’d be lying.

The only person wasting their money is you because you refuse to play a good game because it was once bad.

Because ANY reason to play FFVI is a good reason.

Phantasy Star IV

Evie is OP. Needs nerf.

That level sums up that console generation more than anything else. Goddamned perfection.

I’d like to say I’ll pick up The Witcher, finish Arkham Knight, play some Destiny, or dive into Rare Replay.
