I don’t think hoi polloi means what you think it does.

That’s why I wrote in pencil, haha. In all seriousness though, Camp Cope is almost certainly in my top-5 of (likely) releases in 2018. As far as actually having a release date set, I can’t think of any I’m looking forward to more.

I got Sky Ferreira pencilled in for best of 2018, but Camp Cope is the shit. Their music is exceptional for the genre and theirs lyrics are some of the best out there. So, heartily seconded!

Now playing

Since they had one of my top-3 favorite albums of 2017, and yet are flying way under the radar, I’ll go with the debut album, Okay, by Swedish dream pop duo Wy. Simply put, it’s fantastic. A very, very impressive debut. And the singer’s voice sounds like Zola Jesus crossed with Grimes.

Where’s the Charli mixtape?!?!

Hi Bich was on my top-10 song of the year list. And I have impeccable taste!

Pretty on the Inside FTW.

Pretty on the Inside stays in my rotation. Got to catch Courtney open for Lana Del Rey in like 2014 or whenever and seeing her was great. Was just thinking yesterday how much I’d love to get some new Hole and see her on tour again.

*Liars sheds a single tear over what might have been.*

Lock him up!

This has nothing to do with your point about Louis, which I basically agree with, but your username reminded me of this interview I just read about F.A. Hayek. In short, it’s about how he was right on some things, and wrong on others, and the ones he was right about actually disprove his ideas where he got it wrong.

Randomly stopped here for a trip down memory lane and discovered this Whores album, which rules HARD. Not sure if this will reach you, but kudos for that one, and thanks.

Haha, true enough. Although as far as greasy calories go, there are some BBQ places in Texas that may qualify as secular houses of worship. But mostly I’d say they’re limited to certain music venues and college football stadiums.

Wow this is some purple prose. I’ve lived in Texas nearly my whole life. People love Whataburger for what it is, but “secular house of worship?” Sheesh.

That’s a traditional Italian preparation that I first tried at a pizza place I was working at, and later had the chance to order at a restaurant in Florence. The latter is without a doubt the best pizza I’ve ever had. Sorry if yours was not good.

What were some of your favorites from those genres? I love folk and Americana but didn’t have any in my top-20 that fit comfortably in those genres.

Hey, glad you liked Gainsbourg one! I do agree it’s her best work. Apparently it’s also her first album that she wrote entirely, so that’s cool.

It’s great! I also really like Soft Serve by Dai Burger, as far as that genre goes.

I love Waxahatchee but this album was far from her best work, IMO. Otoh it was fun to hear live.
