Beetlejuice is great you monster.

I loved her EPs and didn’t care much for her last album, but this one was a return to form, IMO. In fact I enjoyed it for many of the same reasons that the reviewer did not.

Solid choices as well. Rock Star (i.e. Olympia) in particular is a favorite of mine. Hole rules.

Can’t decide between the following:

Was just thinking that.

I would think the headline goes without saying. Krysten Ritter is so great I’d almost consider watching this show.

I hate this.

Moar Man From UNCLE dammit!!!

Nah, it’s coming. Maybe not this month, but it’s coming.

Que?

I guess there’s no firm date but from what I’ve read Azealia Banks is supposed to drop her new one this month. If so, I’m all about it.

Favorite album of the day (and year) so far for me is the self-titled debut by this group Loma, which is a collaboration between this duo I love called Cross Record and guy named Jonathan Meiburg (of Shearwater), who I guess has been around for a while but I’m not familiar with. Anyway, it’s great. Here’s a good one:

I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard Screaming Females, but comparing the new one to my favorite Sleater-Kinney album definitely got my attention.

Fair enough. The sound is definitely more subdued on this one. And the two songs you mentioned are also probably better than anything on this one. So, yeah, it’s not as good as their last one. But I’m not writing it off completely. It has its moments.

Hmmmm. On one hand, at least after just one listen, I don’t think there’s anything as good as the three best songs on the s/t (Flesh & Electricity, West Side Story, and Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams, btw). But I did think The Face of God, The Omen, and I’ve Got You were all pretty excellent.

I don’t usually go out of my way to comment on music I don’t like, but I really don’t get all the fuss over Brandi Carlile. She is not good.

Ain’t that the truth. I caught them at Day For Night Fest and they reminded me of like the Spice Girls crossed with C&C Music Factory, but not as talented as either.

The article described her as “underage,” which implies “below the age of consent,” i.e. illegal. Call his actions skeezy all you want, but that is some sloppy “journalism.”

Listening to a bunch of heavy noise rock/punk. Here are a couple good ones:

This is pretty dope.
