Shout out to everyone who included Power Trip, Melkbelly, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Couch Slut, Alvvays, and Protomartyr. Had a few of those in my top-20 and the ones that weren’t were somewhere in there further down. Nice to see them get mentioned.

Well played.

I was not familiar with them before the new one so I’ll have to go back and listen to their older stuff. I’m curious how much it resembles the new one, which is a collaboration.

Oh yes, Hillary, attacker of her husband’s rape victims and beneficiary of Harvey Weinstein’s largesse, is the true victim in all this.

I would say definitely give Charlotte a full listen! Sylvia Says in particular is one of my favorite tracks of the year.

So many sublime tracks on that album. Sylvia Says takes the top spot for me though.

30 Seconds definitely made my top-20.

Also, I know you have good taste (which is to say, similar to mine) so I’ll have to check out the ones you mention that I haven’t heard (I know Saint Etienne is great).

Number 1 Angel = Number 1 Album of 2017

1. Charli XCX - Number 1 Angel

Female would certainly read better, but barring that it seems like “6 woman Democratic Senators” would be preferred - i.e. if you are using it as an adjective to describe a characteristic that applies to each of them individually.

I like Jimmy and enjoy his commentary on occasion. If you want to watch news though, I’d go for The Real News Network. They are very good, very substantive.

My favorite Christmas song, Omanko, by Sky Ferreira

Indeed, he is apparently one half of the duo. I’ll have to check out his other stuff you mentioned.

Free the nipple.

I’ve been kind of obsessed with this song Welcome to Love by this synth-pop duo I just discovered called Young Ejecta. I’m also really into their song Into Your Heart and their newish single, Build A Fire.

Me, I’m still bingeing old episodes of Cum Town in between the new ones, having recently gotten into the podcast.

It’s got some variety to it but I would say a good bit is in that vein, and it all goes together well. That’s definitely one of the standouts. I think the four song stretch that starts with that one might be the best four on the album.

It’s terrific. Top-10 AOTY for me so far.

I finally got to check out The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Shit was pretty lit. The kid who plays Martin was impressively creepy. There were a few moments of pitch black hilarity. Did not disappoint.
