The amount of pissing and moaning about the Maverick’s bed length in Jalopnik comments is pretty hilarious, given the number of people who wax poetic about the Subaru Baja in Jalopnik comments. I would love to see the venn diagram!
The Sport Trac was actually a pretty good vehicle (in its time) that sold fairly well,

Interesting data point. If you factor in track width the current ranger is ~22% smaller than the current F150. If you compare 2000 to 2000, the ranger was about ~22% smaller than the f150. If you are interested the current ranger is still 15% smaller than a 2000 F150.

Yeah, I’ve got a couple of them (pre-100s) with GM engines. Birfs, axles, diffs, lockers.... lotsa stuff to break when you put 650HP of turbo charged engine upstream.

What we really need is a 2 door version, that carries all my friends and has a bed that is both long enough to haul a 4 wheeler and some lumber or something but be super short for sick trails, also diesel manual and no more than 30 grand. Its not rocket surgery Jeep!

This is called the “Tolken strategy” - When in doubt? Eagles.

I haven’t watched NHRA on TV in probably a decade, but I think every race should be split screen of the undercarriage of both cars and a view that shows the finish.

That made my mullet stand up.

2 words.

To be fair, the name is fairly self-descriptive. The engine sucks in a large amount of the ecosystem in order to boost itself!

Nice try, but it cannot compare with El Coroneto. One gaze and it has your soul and will never release it. Just look at that evil face! The primer I’m pretty sure is the result of a fire it started after the last person looked at another car/truck. That chain? That’s not a tow chain, it’s how they secure it at night

Let’s see if I can make a summary of some of the repetitive (and completely unrelated to the article) comments on the recent Foxtrot Alpha articles.

I know its not a popular opinion, but I still think we need a modern battleship. Not bringing back the Iowa’s, as the manpower needed for those is silly, but a modern big gun ship to do the job the Zumwalt is supposed to do, but can’t.

Looking at the ongoing staredown in the South China Sea, I can’t help but wonder if those 16 inchers still could’ve allowed the USN to flex a bit more muscle than they’ve been able to.

Given that they are selling like hotcakes right now because of their cushy ride I really doubt it

Saratoga was also built in NY and had to make that same trip:

Not launching aircraft, but Constellation was the last carrier built at the Brooklyn Naval Yard. It sort of fit under the Brooklyn Bridge:

Hahahaha yeah, three inches longer with like twice the fuel burn and CO2 expulsion!
