This - just learned that I don’t have plugs on my super duty axles and am very disappointed. To be fair, you’d have to pull the third member off a toyo axle to do a similar procedure.

Yes, really. Its a very capable package.
You can still get the manual with lockers, sta bar disconnect, 4.7 FDR, and 33's on the Badlands series - in fact its the standard trans. That series can also be had with a very stripped out interior - wash out floors / marine grade vinyl.
Yeah I dont know enough about the 4l60/4l80 trans to comment on how much they can be built. I bought a 4l60 that claimed it was good for 500hp and put it behind a stock LQ4. Guess we will see in 100k miles.
As someone with a LS swapped FJ80 and someone who has owned a 100 series, I can tell you the LS is a better motor in terms of performance and a tie in terms of durability. Agree though that putting super charged stuff in these drivetrains is asking for something to break downstream.
Simple fix - just get some drum brakes. David, kinda surprised you haven’t gotten them a rusty heap with some drums.
Would have been sweet if the KC-135 participated in the flyover as well. Great photos.
An engine swap is never lazy, regardless of the mill. All the arm chair quarter backs who complain about LS swaps need to try and do a swap before complaining about originality.
I’m in Ann Arbor and could probably help you wrench depending on your schedule. I’ve never worked on a jeep but have lots of experience wrenching on my land cruiser.
People who complain about originality annoy me so much. Whenever someone says that to me I simply ask them where their engine swapped car is. Oh you don’t have one? Yeah that’s what I thought, its hard enough to do with a “common” chevy V8.
There’s a LS swap joke/meme waiting to be made.
Agreed when it comes to seat belts, I still think net, its cheaper for the healthcare system to let people kill themselves by engaging in dangerous activities if they so chose.
I don’t think you should have to wear a seat belt or a helmet. People make the argument that these safety devices saves millions on health claims, when it’s exactly the opposite. The big cost suck for health care is when you are old and in a home. Letting people be stupid and kill themselves in their prime saves the…
I wonder if FCA ever thought about making a leaf spring version of the 1500 for people who want a heavy payload.
Please recreate-
they sure do. most of their 1500 crew cabs. All of their HD’s are built in Flint MI.
Ram can afford to have low prices because they build all their HD trucks in Mexico. Everyone else, including Nissan, builds in the USA.
I’ve never seen a cruiser that looks good with a radiator. Ever.
Don’t buy this. It’s a massive POS. I own one ufortunatley.
Is that a double barrel 1911?
