I have watched the entire series of these NatGeo specials (they are really fucking good), and the one about the “Wolf of the Desert” (this mouse) is great. Anything that can fuck up a scorpion and then EAT IT is bad ass, in my book.

I’m sure it’s all to do with what you’re insinuating, and not at all for the broken barriers, the fame, and the exponentially better pay that she’d receive by even playing for the NFL minimum. 

I really don’t think that’s a fair reading of her remarks AT ALL. While she said it was “distracting,” it seems that she meant it in a very literal sense, as in asking reporters something along the lines of “why is that the only thing you want to talk about?” She also went on to say “The cause is great.”

I don’t know if she’s actually trying to pivot. This is a story grown out of a photo op promoting their victory tour.

I assume this is all a ploy to get her to retire from the USWNT without having to drag her out kicking & screaming.
