So I live in Japan and the challenge you run into with importers is they do not control the car flow. Put this in perspective in the US I was shipping a $250K Heavy equipment RORO (machine was in one piece drive on off) from US to Middle East. Even though our shipper did everything right it got lost (20Ton machine ).

You are correct and that only dealers have the service computer.  Local service companies were denied.  Also remember it’s sometimes a couple of thousand dollars just to move those machines before even touching the problem.

But FCA is still Italian. So it means only 2

As a former Michigander, I love Japanese car insurance pay 500/yr includes shaken taxes.  That is full coverage and replacement on my 10 yr old car.  It would be less if it was a Kei or newer.

Just to make myself feel relevant, my family owned the property of that was purchased to build the propeller plant that later became the jeep plant.

Amazed at how many WRXs and STIs of this era are just sitting in Japanese driveways rotting. Glad to see some of the more interesting ones are being kept alive.

Can’t star this enough, even more so with the anti theft systems that can mask other issues

Had one that was a 5 speed, challenge is to find one in good shape

Aussies had it right Ute, for the win

You forgot about one caliper being seized in the out position at 9pm after the store has closed and you SI needs the car in the morning to go to work. And they can’t drive your car as it is a manual trans.

I now live where they make them and love the compact cars.

Also Velocity picked up Mighty Car Mods so wondering if they will force a change there as well.

I have been to one of the location where they machine these and the drill bits are crazy small. Also the tubing that goes between these are typically surgical grade needle material, as that is what can guarantee the flow needed for the applications. Beautiful to see made.

2nd. GAHHHHH the Accord is one car I am annoyed by, Honestly do we need to have a 2 door coupe of this car? It is too big unless you are BMW for it to be a sporty hatch. Thank you for the Manual but please put it on something other than a base trim.

In the US there are 3 basic ideas:

Illinois is better you can visit most of the past governors in one place.

On the GTI thing, they walked away from that along time ago so it shouldn’t be a surprise. Jetta got GLI instead of GTI and I can see the SUV market getting that for the more “Performance” version of the vehicle.

David Tracy has bought it.

I understand what you mean but this is also a common occurrence with dealerships that decide to not honor a warranty due to perceived relationship of failure and non-warrantied activities. Torch’s article while slightly inflammatory is much more factual than some of the larger Newspapers discussing the political
