It’s important to note, according to the researchers, that none of the women used words like “rape” or “coercion,” even though the sex they described could reasonably be categorized that way. Instead, they merely described it as “bad sex”

and then right after, says that it could be reasonably catagorized that way? wtf??

Just like in S.V.U. and Entourage (from the few episodes I have seen, I don’t watch the show regularly).

Bring on the think pieces about the emasculation of the Asian male and although “on one hand this is progressive, why won’t they let an Asian dude get laid by a [white] girl on camera...”

Well yeah. We’d also get more murder convictions if we could just lower that pesky standard of proof too.

Glad for this bit of logic injected in here. I can understand the emotional desire to increase rape convictions, but assuming guilt is such an incredibly foolish idea that I am frequently confused as to how otherwise rational people can support it. It IS better for ten guilty people than for one person to languish in

I don’t disagree with what you’ve written, but it does neglect one major aspect of the criminal justice system. Namely, that people are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

We can FIX the police?

Yeah! Fuck this guy! We should just be accusing her of lying about her age, like Jezebel.

Never forget Duke Lacrosse 2006. Condemning these men now shows a serious lack of experience and intelligence. It’s okay to report the story, but it’s not okay to declare them rapists. Let the court system play out, hear the verdict, then make any personal judgement you want. But not before. The article’s writer of

It was the ones who weren’t arrested, presumably the non-rapists, that lost. They don’t deserve the sarcasm. It would be interesting to see how all team rankings would change if the rapists were out of the picture.

keep scrolling down and u will see another article about a mother who killed two of her own children to get at her husband

law enforcement and the legal system is practically never on the victim’s side.

Because I have MY SlutWalk, all of the women [who’ve accused Ian Connor] have reached out to ME as well. They want to come to MY SlutWalk and tell their story on MY stage.

Wrestlemania is more real than their relationship!

I’m pretty sure you’re just being messed with by a fake SJW troll...... though on this site, it can often be hard to tell.

I know it’s moot at this point, but had Jackie never told a massive and reckless lie to a major publication, accusing an entire fraternity house of committing a horrible atrocity that they did not commit (and who, BTW, also received death threats during the ~2 weeks it took for real journalists to debunk the story),

Have a look at this long but well written article:

She’d had issues with other stories before this one, and a big one the year before at Rolling Stone, involving another sensationalized rape case. The editors should have been holding her to an even higher standard of due diligence because of that, not lowering the bar even further.

also merlan got away with shoddy journalism.
