I really enjoyed your detailed response to this post, but for some reason when I looked on the main page, it was not visible. It is almost as if the anti-brown people brigade in this discussion are demanding people google evidence for THEIR arguments, and then when people actually do look and show there is no real

Lol, I think the Ahmed conspiracy theorists know that there is actually no evidence for their claims - that is why they will frantically argue that it is other people’s responsibility to find evidence to support THEIR claims and frantically dismiss any comments pointing out that is not how it works.

Yeah, but he can cut & paste it every time someone dares to ask him for evidence of his hilarious claims.

Lol, I love how you keep telling everyone else they have to provide the proof for your assertions.

Lol, why not provide the link yourself ... Unless of course you and whodaman are trying to conceal the fact that there is no evidence that the family tried to blow up the school, unless you think brown skin is proof that they are terrorists or something.

Got to love all the brave new posters who pop up whenever this kid is reported on to declare their belief that he deserved to be handcuffed and interrogated without the presence of his parents because ... He didn't handgrind the Quartz that was used to assemble his clock.

Lol, wouldn’t it be quicker to just type “I have no sources and just made stuff up so I could bravely attack the skinny brown-skinned kid anonymously”?

“every space is already a de facto (white) male space, especially after dark.”

I know this was a joke but aside from hair colour, Alison Brie would have made a kickass Harley.

Well, I was comparing the difference in reactions to the two respective remakes; I think if they had cast Paul Giamatti or Kevin Smith as the merman in the Splash remake, reactions to the remake would have been more in line with the reaction to the Ghostbusters remake.

Lol, not really the same thing, is it? The equivalent would have been casting Margot Robbie, Megan Fox, Kendall Jenner & Miss Jackson (as the token non-scientist of color) as the new Ghostbusters, a casting which I guarantee would have seen the same wave of approval from the male Ghostbusters fanboys as the casting of

I know, right? Marissa is becoming quite a well-known child actress (she is about to do some work for the Cartoon Network) and every time she does that expression for a show or public appearance, I just want to melt!

Since some people prefer to dismiss perfectly rational points, I will just point out that the claims of the author that a $3.4m opening was successful were misleading given the budget of ghostbusters is much higher then any of Feig’s films and a film that cost 1/18 of what ghostbusters cost to make had a higher

Yes, apparently you do often use passive aggressive personal attacks to avoid answering questions but I find it interesting that you rely on a baseless accusation that you are being called names when a simple reading of my posts above show that is not the case at all.

Do you often use passive-aggressive personal attacks to avoid providing answers to questions like why is opposing a remake to a film only automatically trolling in selective cases?

Why is opposing a remake of a film automatically trolling?

Lol, not at all what I intended and certainly not casting any aspersions on your view but it is interesting how similar in general objections to this reboot are to the objections to Ghostbusters.

Nah, I think it is good to let this generation have their own version of “Beaches” with leads they can relate to (how many kids today could even name a song by Midler vs how many could recite Let It Go lyric for lyric)? Anyway, it is ridiculous to attack a film that hasn't been made yet; I don't think anyone can judge

I read the headline as “remaking Beaches starring Rachel Dolezal” and lol’ed.
