I used to love summer when I lived in Ontario and spent every spare moment swimming and suntanning at my cottage. Then I moved to the Pacific Northwest and got a real job and now I have a bitter indifference toward all the seasons equally. Because they are all the fucking same. (I need to move again.)

Ha! If only we could split the difference.

*Raises hand* ... “over-the-knee” boots usually come to the bottom of my kneecap if I’m lucky.

Clothes that look like they might actually be undergarments are my jam. If this wasn't an XS I would be all over it!

Agree. This dress needs very, very little. Over-accessorizing is the mark of the try-hard.

Did you watch Derek? When he goes to get his dad and Fix You is playing...oh sweet Jesus, my feelings.

No. I’m 31 and I love being in my thirties! I can't wait to be even fucking older. :)

Ugh. I despise trying stuff on. When I was in Rome last month I was both disappointed and relieved — it was so fucking hot and humid I had absolutely zero interest in shopping for clothes. I was just a giant disgusting blob of sweat the entire time. I think my husband (and my bank account) was secretly overjoyed.

Yep, I was really lucky because I live in the middle of nowhere. If the online dress hadn't worked out I probably would've been too scared to try again and would have ended up spending like $1000 just to fly to the nearest city and go shopping.

I’m not gonna lie. I LOVED watching peoples’ faces when they asked about my dress and I told them I bought it online a week after getting engaged and didn’t require any alterations. Yup, I'm bragging. Because that is a goddamn miracle.

I was always the same way with prom dresses too! And I ordered my wedding dress like a year and a half before the big day and I was terrified this was going to happen.

I’m glad you were able to have those last moments with your father and that your mom is doing ok. She really must be incredibly strong. I know it may sound weird coming from an internet stranger, but I was thinking about you and your family all week. Hugs.

Thanks :) Yes, in that moment I knew she was going to be ok. She’s got a very healthy perspective on mortality. On the subject of her ever-shrinking height (she used to be 5’7 and now she is probably down to about 5’4) she says, “Well that’s how it happens, you just keep getting lower and lower and then you’re in the

My Opa passed away last month, two days before my wedding. As we sat waiting while the paramedics tried to revive him, my Oma told me that he had been feeling really poorly and they’d decided he was only going to come to the ceremony (he had myasthenia gravis and hated crowds because he was self conscious about his

Why can't we use holograms for useful things like sending one to work in my place? I tried sending my cat but the lab coat was too big for her and people said she gave bad medical advice. :(

My photographer was obsessed with the tattoos on my arm, so they feature heavily in both our engagement and wedding photos. I love it.

I know you weren’t watching Cops, because Cops doesn’t come on ‘til 4.

I feel you so much on this and I am so sorry for you and your family. My grandfather, who really was like a second dad to me because we spent my entire life living in the same house, suffered with Myasthenia Gravis for almost 25 years. Four weeks ago, two days before my wedding (which we had planned to have in my

Exactly. Everyone knows the best way to find out where you stand with a new guy is to get incredibly drunk together and confess your mutual feelings and then the next day if the guy doesn’t act weird/pretend it never happened, he is a keeper.

I didn’t get mine until I was 15. If I have a daughter I really really hope she inherits that.
