In my experience, they will respond, but the vehicle may be long gone once they arrive. If you’re lucky, the thieving asshole is dumb enough to leave such a distinctive car sitting in one place for too long.

I can’t say for sure that it’s a “nerd” thing, nor have I been to an anime-specific convention, but I have been to a variety of conventions for nerdy subjects (GDC, E3, several comics conventions). In my experience the more professional the convention’s content/focus the less likely it is to encounter body odor.

This would look so much better without the angel-eye headlights and oversized wheels. It looks like another Chip Foose resto-mod disaster. 

Blows my mind how this site seems to find a negative angle in nearly every story, no matter how benign, but when confronted with a guy convicted of assaulting his girlfriend it’s limited to a single note tucked away in parentheses between enthusiastic accounts of how great he was.

This guy was not only a serial abuser of multiple of his girlfriends, he was also credibly accused of raping an 11-year-old, and the only reason the settlement was thrown out of court was because of the case occurring outside the statute of limitations.

I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you don’t know that Mr. Sizemore was fired from a 2003 movie (“Born Killers”) for molesting an 11 year old (once crewmembers found out, they had to be stopped from going to his trailer, hammers in hand), not to mention a plethora of law suits involving…

I don’t think the execs at Kia/Hyundai really understand the American car market. They keep building copy-cat products and killing them after a single generation because of lack of sales. Six years is not long enough to build a following around a car.

I can’t wait for the dealers to go the way of the dinosaurs. There is hardly a worse bunch of useless parasites in the animal world than car dealers.

Three-time 4Runner owner here. Yes, they run a long time but a 1990 with 150,000 miles on the clock is not “just getting started in life”. A 2015 with 150,000 miles maybe, but not a 33-year-old truck. It’s like saying a 69-year-old man is just getting started in life because he hasn’t traveled much.

The problem is we all have too much crap we think we need and we want it with us all the time.
