Part 2 of this is actually offering real “orders” for the cars. I know that isn’t an issue for many OEMs who do offer special orders, but I see Honda/Acura mentioned here, who I believe follows the Toyota method of allocating cars to dealers, so that consumers have to cross their fingers that something they like comes

But the one you really want is the V8 is kinda horse shit.

Rather than adapting, you should expect the dealer associations that have enough clout to get legislation passed in their states to make some or all of these changes illegal.

I’m sure the trend of just replacing parts until the warning lights go out will continue. No need to diagnose, just rip and replace.

The message is part of a template, and the mileage gets filled based upon when the service was done, and the label gets printed.

Quiet hiring is a scam. I came here to do exactly the work I was told I’d do and I have no interest in being forced to wear hats beyond my job description.

Really feeling old seeing these prices. I remember being 9 in 1997 when my father purchased a v6 5spd Mustang for just over $15,000. GT was under 20k. Cobra 26k. Back in my day!

$33k in 2015 is over $42k in 2023. Inflation is a bitch.

That, after having incited a violent attack on the government by a horde of domestic terrorists with the intent of having them execute his VP in public and making him president for life, a crime for which he has yet to be punished, and may never be.

Sheesh, a GT at the start of the S550 generation was ten grand less than now.

Came here to say this. Content with giving a star and comment. Racially insensitive is inadvertently saying something inappropriate that has some racial overtones. Maybe a joke or a turn of phrase that we shouldn’t use because of its history, its phrasing, its word choice or its implications.

I have been called that word. I’m for giving the dealership the benefit of the doubt because I remember when I used to go to Radio Shack and type the following into their display computers:

Why wait a few years? A Chevy Bolt is half the price of a Tesla. I love mine, just wish it charged faster.

It would be interesting to see a Venn Diagram of Tesla investors and cryptocurrency investors. I suspect there is a bit of overlap with those two groups, with the latter having lost massive amounts of their investment in the past 6+ months. That might explain why they are trying to recoup those losses from their other

Seems odd to me that the shareholders are raising a stink over this when they’ve largely benefitted, in the long run, from Tesla’s success.  This just sounds like they’re unhappy with the overall recent downturn of the stock and are latching on to the first thing they can find to file a lawsuit over.

Totally - there are usually one or two early CRVs with TE37s and lowering kits at car shows near me. They look really good. They can be made properly quick too - they can accept any performance-oriented K or B series motor, which are known for being able to handle boost well. Not uncommon for drag guys to swap CRV

they hardly make any sedans, couples, or hatchbacks any longer, certainly not at CRV prices, unless you want an Altima

Agree with you. So many people hating on these smaller SUVs or crossovers, but they are really good platforms to work with. I have seen lowered C-HR and HR-V at meets, and I have to say they display better presence than the typical sedans/coupes/wagons.

It’s more stock than a Stock Car...

Can we get more lower riding vehicles. If you took off all the aero bits, you have what looks like a pretty good looking wagon sorta vehicle. I dig it.
