Every few years, some random QB becomes talked about as a top prospect for no reason after people find something not to like about the obvious best prospect. Happened with Bortles over Bridgewater, Winston over Mariota and then this pud over Deshaun.

It’s part of Pace’s philosophy of drafting guys who played all of 5-7 games in college.  

He looks like an aborted Tony Romo.

I convinced myself after the draft that he fits the vacant dumb guy mold of Eli Manning or Joe Flacco, so he might be okay. I am an idiot.

He looks like the guy who sits right next to you on an otherwise empty bus and immediately starts farting.

That puts him as a top 5 Jets QB all time.

As an Iowa State alum / Seneca Wallace fan it’s unfair to lump him in with these fools. He was a late 4th round pick who had a 10 year career as a decent NFL backup QB. (career 80.8 rtg 31 TDs 19 INTS)

Jamberg makes a good point about Watson. Deshaun Watson? The guy that played Alabama in the Championship twice and broke even (there’s literally no point differential)?

It also amazes me that they think that these giant meatheads with 50% pass completion in college will somehow improve against superior opposition. 

meanwhile, Deshaun tore up every team he played and whipped ass in the CFB Playoffs in two consecutive years and these same mouth breathers were like “BUT WILL HIS GAME TRANSLATE?!!?!”.

not to nit pick, but Seneca Wallace was so much fun to watch in college and he was servicable as a backup in the NFL.
