Actually, he's supposedly on the list to be Stephen Strange.

And I agree with that, I just took issue with the idea that just because PoC have been portrayed in paintings doesn't mean that all subjects are on equal footing.
I always feel like Payday should be good since peanuts and caramel are amazing. Then I have one and I realize it's LIES. IT'S ALL LIES.
As someone who works in a museum, I think that everyone needs to get off your ass. White women are far more often depicted in European art. Plus, WoC were usually portrayed as foreign/other/exotic, where white women are portrayed as heavenly/wealthy/more often clothed. Not to mention, there are many scenes in European…
I grew up attending a church where I large part of the congregation was LGBT and had a gay couple living across the hallway. My parents never even had to really explain gay relationships to me. When I first encountered the word 'gay' it was like "Oh. Like so and so and so and so? Okay." I think they had to explain the…
That is awesome. I did admit, it made me a little sad that both Green Lantern and Superman got more one liners than Wonder Woman (and it was her big screen debut!).
I have a good friend who makes a living buying and selling toys (not just from Target and the like, but buying personal collections). His customers are more the adult collector market though, he rarely goes for stuff like this. He doesn't like people who buy toys that are in high demand with kids to resell at high…
I have a coworker who used to work at the 9/11 Memorial Museum. He said that the people there were really unpleasant to work for.
I feel like Sarella needs to be kind of androgynous looking (that is, if she really is Alleras in Oldtown like they suggest).
I know. The Sand Snakes are so fucking badass. They need to be done well. And the elder four really need to all look different, since they're so different in the book. I love this particular piece of fan art.
I adore new Daario. Way closer to what I imagined in the books.
I, too, hate Jane Austen. I recognize her importance and the significance of her female heroines but GOOD GOD, I could not get through her books without wanting to scream. Sense and Sensibility was one of the hardest things I ever had to get through.
I will admit, I do enjoy adaptations of Pride and Prejudice. The…
Whoa, tight AND hot?
My college had a lot of problems with Health Services. The worst thing I ever dealt with was being prescribed the wrong medication but I had a friend who went to Health Services to speak to a therapist when he was feeling depressed, the doctor declared him suicidal (he hadn't said he was) and sent him to a local…
I also just realized that that I used the wrong "there" twice. Sorry, I just got home from work and I'm tired.
Nah, I get it. Some of them aren't their for their kids. Some of them are their for them and they just have to be with their kids (stay at home parents, tourists on family vacations, etc.). Plus, there might be exhibits that the kids just aren't interested in. It's really interested to get kids interested in mummies…
Also, I should clarify. I don't have any problems with parents giving their kids distractions, I just get wary of how much everyone lives in their smartphone (myself included).
Yeah, and that's why I usually just ignore it. It's not my business, they're not my kids. The only time I really interfere is if the kids are running around the lobby and the parents aren't stopping them. Then I just politely ask them not to run in the museum.
I work with the public, and I see parents giving their toddlers smart phones or tablets to play with a lot. I guess since they're in a museum, they don't want their kids to act up, but it can make me a little uncomfortable.
Then again, I'm not a parent, so I'm not really in a position to judge.
I'M OUTRAGED BY YOUR OUTRAGED. (This makes me more outraged, since I'm outraging while you outrage OUTRAGE OUTRAGE OUTRAGE).
Take that, Outrage Olympics.
