You obviously did not serve. The National Guard programs absolutely can pay for college, but beyond that the post nine eleven GI Bill also does. I know from experience. You can choose to not be a fan of military service but don’t be intentionally dishonest.

Please address the crime piece. Or google “violent crime stats.” The problem today is everything needs to fit neatly. It can be true that violent crime is disproportionately committed by men of color AND the criminal justice system is tremendously unjust and tilted against men of color.

Implicit bias is related to the objective fact that violent crime is disproportionately committed by men of color (I’m not ignorant of the economic explanation for that). As you have less communit crime, it would follow logically that that implicit bias should dry up.

It appears from his statements that he didn’t mean just police-related killings. The “murder rate” clearly means he’s talking about all of it, including the exponentially more likely occurrence of being killed by another black man around his age.
