Better than I could have put it myself.
I found that twist of what we expect in a story like this to be refreshing!
I also thought the teens had some very funny/smart dialogue, although the overall dialogue of the show is well done so not a surprise there.

“Why be so pissy about it all?”

I guess I am embarrassingly folksy and cheap then because I found it funny and charming, and really enjoyed the that teens were written as smart and not complete idiots.

To be fair, we don’t know Garfield is playing Jesus. He might be Joseph or even the wee donkey.

Not sure I buy Dicaprio as Sinatra. Should have given the role to Woody Allen’s son.

Wrong again, Miriam Webster is my very intelligent neighbor. She told me her definition over several cups of tea (we each had three).

According to Miriam Webster:

I think several is anything more than a couple, but not a lot. So could be synonymous with “a few”.

I’ve had my suspicions, but this definitely sealed it for me.

It’s odd the article references it being a movie about prison, and gives us no citation of that, or any description of anything about the movie other than its setting.

Kinda crazy an article about a very specific photograph doesn’t just show said photograph in it.

I hadn’t heard that, have no way to authenticate its veracity, and completely believe it.

No surprise he doesn’t have a partner, but knowing how people are drawn to fame, even the grossest avatars of it, I assume he is going home and getting lots of sad action, falling asleep before it occurs to him how empty (albeit wealthy) his life is.

Considering he doesn’t have to spend an hour listening to Bill Maher, he should send him a “Thank you for smoking!” note.

Right. I think that’s totally fine, adaptation is a skill not everyone has. I was puzzled but the “he’s a fraud but Netflix wasn’t smart enough to see it” thing from above. If they did a good job adapting it and that’s what Netflix hired them to do, it seems they were just the right amount of smart.

Huh. From everything I am hearing about 3 Body Problem it sounds like they did a good job with it. I take it you don’t agree?

Question on this from someone who knows next to nothing about cars. In Canada a couple of the fuel retailers boast about the detergents (I think that’s the word they use) they include in their gas which clean your fuel system as it goes through. Is that hype? Or is there actual cleaning going on? Because if so, I

Agree with his take on O’Leary. On a side note, it drives me crazy people collectively have given him a cute nickname. How about we just call rich people by their names and stop it with the monikers like Mr. Wonderful and The Donald?

I don’t have any particular dog in this fight, but so far it seems its getting decent reviews. Not rapturous, but I’ve seen more positive than negative. Not sure how you measure it flopping on a platform we don’t get audience numbers for but critically it seems to be doing fine.

But which of them got the Roy Rogers wagon wheel coffee table?
