“ fans—this writer admittedly included— reveled as every single one of the duo’s subsequent attempts to get a show to air continued to fall on the proverbial sword.”

This is so odd to me. They wrote a few unsatisfying episodes of a television show people were really invested in, and people take joy in them not

You know when something barely works one time, and it is only by the grace of god that everyone involved is not permanently financially ruined? Well, would it make sense to try that thing a second time, willingly subjecting yourself to the obvious risks a second time?”

I don’t think its walking on egg shells. Someone tells that story the human thing to do is express sympathy and move on, not threaten them and shit talk.

That too would have been nice. Unless he had something to do with it, which she does not seem to insinuate, it does seem weird to throw his name into the mix. I guess people would have figured it out anyway if she outed the producer, but does seem shitty to him.
Though his response, yikes.

I get his ego was bruised, but the only correct response in this case would have been something like “I am so sorry that Sharon had to deal with that. I had no knowledge this was going on and am horrified to be associated with it.”

Oh I agree. It just doesn’t scream “The Crow” to me, and seeing the label so obviously displayed I know they paid to get it in there which always takes me out of a movie or show a bit. Not saying the beer itself is bad though!

I was less distressed by the makeup and more by the very obvious product placement of Samuel Adams beer.

I doubt they’d opt for Trump. I could see some sitting the election out because they aren’t inspired. But my guess is Stewart’s comments wouldn’t have that much of an impact, if they’re going to sit out I think that’s already been decided.

It hilarious to me that some people seem to think he’s to the left of Che Guevara.

Wow. you lost hope late. Mine went out the door sometime in 2016.

I do. I guess just me though.

I went from liking Mary Trump to distrusting her within a couple of weeks. Not saying her criticisms are wrong, but she has sure gotten herself a nice side hustle appearing on MSNBC every 37 minutes. I’m sure she’s sincere, but I’d appreciate it more if it didn’t scream “I am now a professional naysayer, and keeping

“...Melissa McCarthy’ who seemingly stars in a new comedy vehicle every week.”

She does? Maybe I don’t see enough movie trailers but I can’t remember the last time I saw a Melissa McCarthy comedy vehicle advertised.

Oh definitely! I would have been snarky too if I had been aware of it at the time. It’s only in retrospect it seems funny.

EDIT: I was wrong.

Ah well, ymmv. Agree with you on Slow Horses though!

No idea, but I assumed from the way the headline was structured (new guy listed first) that the guy on the left is the new guy and the guy on the right is the guy out of work.

Depends on what you’re in to. I liked them all, though some more than others. Of all of them I probably didn’t need to do Shining Girls, but it wasn’t bad for what it was. Aside from that, which isn’t a slam just not a ringing endorsement, I’d recommend them all. But again depends on you. Don’t like historical fiction

Some people get a charge from approaching everything with presumptive “I hate this, it’s so boring!” energy.
