Ate at her restaurant in Austin, she’s a good chef too!
You gotta see it. Way better than it had any right to be.
Made me laugh a bit to come over from the article about Rashida Jones being a nepo baby to clear the bitter from my palate with what sounded like a fun story about Maya Rudolph, only to see the phrase “nepo baby” literally before I read one word of the article.
Yeah but once old man AVClub gave everything to his second wife Disqus and his bratty step-kid Kinja the original kids were persona non grata.
Sad story, bro.
I see someone is trying to get in good with Quincy Jones. Get in line.
I’m told the Basque were crazy for it, but alas that wasn’t a big enough audience.
Agreed. I think there’s also an element of jealousy. Lots of kids, and well adults too, dream about being creative/artistic and rich and famous, it feels like fewer dream about being a VP or CFO of a fortune 500 company.
Thanks for putting it better than I could have. I don’t care for the guy, will not watch this, but the “oh yeah of course Netflix is giving him another special” is odd. He has a massive audience and Netflix in in the business of getting as many viewing minutes as they can I don’t cheer the decision but I get why they…
Agreed. Sounds like he’s at least 5, maybe 6 degrees separated from normal people.
All things being equal I imagine someone having their hair smelled would prefer that to rough digital penetration or all the stuff Harvey was up to.
I don’t even own a nanny.
Thank you. I felt a little silly (and uneducated) asking, but to my knowledge I have never heard someone use the word out loud, just seen it in writing. So I assumed it was whining but like color / colour just spelled differently when British.
“That’s when I got comfortable with my role as the villain, and really enjoyed it.”
In that case, you’re welcome.
A bit off topic, but is “whinging” a British English way of spelling “whining”? I see both in writing used to mean what appears to be the same thing but not sure if pronounced the same or if the g is not actually silent.
Phobia’s aren’t rooted in rationality. I worked with someone once who if she was in a room with a cat would begin hyperventilating and crying. Logically and away from a cat she knew it couldn’t hurt her, or only mildly so, but she couldn’t convince her lizard brain of this.
Wow, Kinja really scrambled my comment there and I didn’t notice until too late to fix it. Oh well. I’m sure we’ve all moved on to other things.
I find it all a bit depressing. Yeah if they were just throwing some jabs at each other whatever, but the people gleefully following it and cheering it on - “This is like ‘We Are the World’ but for hating a guy.” is so wild to watch. I don’t know if the guy who was killed at Drake’s place shortly after this started…
I assumed when I first read it that Apple was doing a mini series adaptation of the book and that would be shown in the trailer.
I’m as confused as you are.
Not to brag, but I watched it two countries ago.
