Look, sexism isn’t okay

“Go outside. Lighten up. Do literally anything else with your life.”

They are being paid to be offended. It is manufactured outrage. Sane people don’t give a shit about this.

Yet another “why is this even an article on Kotaku?” moment.

I don’t post notes like this in Soulsborne games, nor do I find them funny... however, getting tilted enough to make a 2 page dissertation on the matter is fucking ludicrous. Go outside. Lighten up. Do literally anything else with your life.

I’m with you. I had no idea that any of this was a thing until I started reading about it here. I don’t participate in any of the Steam offerings other than just buying games. Since I already know what I want before I get there I’ve been lucky to not wade through all of this apparent awfulness.

Genuine, honest question here: Who really browses the store and relies on Steam’s built-in systems to find new games? Do those people actually exist (No, people specifically looking for crap games to stream and ridicule don’t count)?

I’ve been using Steam for damn near 8 years and I think I’ve looked at sale pages

Good move, Valve. A platform should be an agnostic canvas for artists, not a playing field for corporations to push their morals on others.

“Name of the Wind was OK, but my goodness, the second book was so atrocious that during some of the middle parts I was just skipping whole pages.”

Welp, as someone who is absolutely in love with the Locke Lamora series I think I just found my next series to read after hearing you like it as well.

.... nah, man.

Cheater in other games complains that he was unfairly banned from a game he doesn’t cheat in, and alleges that the game company is cheating in how it finds cheaters.

> Via what seems like pretty much endless repetition of this—I’m not far into the game, maybe it changes later on—...

Ok so I really want to play this game (a lot of the articles posted here since launch have impressed me. For example, the music article yesterday showcased a lot of excellent songs), but stuff like this makes me second guess that. Am I a boring “old” now? Bull testicle missions, Trump’s pee tape, lighting animals on

I’ll preface this by saying that you are completely within your right to do whatever you want and that this is not directed at you personally:

I genuinely do not understand how people can function like this.

“One person tied to this piece of media (game/tv-show/movie/etc) has said or done something I don’t agree with, I

“Tips for playing Monster Hunter World”

People need to stop referring to this game as a Zelda-like. Aside from a sword and overhead perspective, they are wildly different. I’m glad I played this game before before buying it, because it was described as similar to classic Zelda games (by a PC gamer friend who never played Zelda) and I came away disappointed.

I disagree. While it’s far from a truly bad game, the terrible controls ruin most enjoyment I can get out of it.

Great game. Zelda-Like? Nah.

Why wouldn’t you? Because it’s not a good game.
