One that I liked a ton when I first started out especially was Kathleen Lights. She does a range of looks and some are targeted at beginners (it’ll say beginner or easy or something in the title). Jaclyn Hill does more complicated stuff but is really good at explaining so you can pick up some good tips from her. And

BTW I also saw it at Ulta and Urban Decay’s website (both of which have coupons occasionally that you could use to stock up).

Yay! No problem. Tell me what you think when you get it! It’s a great gel IMO and works well either alone or with other products. Even when I don’t wear any other makeup I’ll swipe some through my brows. The packaging/name are hilarious and crack me up every time I use it. Very SVU.

TBH I do use a foaming cleanser daily and I rarely if ever tone but I am religious about my essence+serum+moisturizer. It works well for me and I definitely see improvement in my skin compared to before I started using Korean products.

From what I have read: Toner balances the pH of the skin and then essences prep for moisturizer. Essences are more concentrated with good ingredients than it is possible to get in moisturizer.

I haven’t actually tried Gimme Brow but I love Essence’s Make Me Brow. It’s obviously an attempt to dupe Benefit (LOL at that name). It has good hold and nice color plus it beefs up my hairs without leaving them clumpy or anything. Plus, at three bucks if you hate it then you can just toss it without feeling bad!

I picked up a limited edition metallic liquid lip by Milani that I’ve had my eye on all summer today! I also got through a particularly rough period this week by ordering an Urban Decay bronze eyeliner and green sparkly shadow. Trying to distract from the fact that my once near perfect skin now has a crazy amount of

They cut social services and benefits to almost nothing and so now poor people are leaving in droves (many for Iowa).

Selective enrollment schools are not neighborhood schools. And there are actually plenty of white and Asian youth in the city. Just walk around Latin or Parker for confirmation.

Sadly, as a life long resident: it is that segregated (one of the most segregated cities in the country). There are a few exceptions (Roger’s Park), though.

Yup. Lived in the city my entire life and none of this seemed familiar Chicago to me.

I’ve lived in Chicago my entire life, get out quite a bit and have never met or even heard of a home brewer here.

I second this suggestion (and personally love the smell)!

Glad to hear I’m not overreacting... Will do!

I sent the text 8 days ago and the email three weeks ago :/.

I have a weird situation at my part-time job that I would love you all’s thoughts on... I have worked with this small non-profit for three years now (first as a volunteer). Projects are grant-based so we aren’t assured pay. I was paid this past summer and got word about a month ago that we have a grant starting late

Other things that work for me: lavender essential oil (or whatever smells super yummy/spa-like to you), ready-to-go panic playlists (one super upbeat and encouraging and the other super relaxing, depending on my mood), deep breaths, texting/calling someone who will respond to all your panic in a really calm/reassuring

So I got that mask in my Ipsy and am beyond disappointed :(. I was surprised I don’t love it but it is no better than a cheapy mask like Queen Helene and definitely doesn’t come close to touching the results of my Korean sheet masks.

FYI- be sure to try some Korean eye masks if you like the Sephora ones! Wayyy better prices. I like this one and this one.
