Actually, this happened in the Woodlawn neighborhood. Parkway Gardens is a public housing complex near where the incident occurred but it is not a neighborhood.

So I made the switch about 9 months ago to salon shampoo (from Tresemme, which I previously considered fancy). I have noticed a huge difference in my hair. It’s much less frizzy plus it just looks and feels healthier and smoother. I think a big part of the difference is from the fact that my new products are

I’ve never heard that makeup wipes will destroy your skin but if just cleanser isn’t enough, I recommend double cleansing. First, I go in with an oil-based cleanser or just plain old oil. Then, I follow up with my regular cleanser (I personally like it on a konjac sponge).

Not really a lipstain but you might be interested in Beauty Bakerie’s liquid lipsticks? They really do give you color all day. All of the lipstains I love do require reapplication if you’re eating, etc.

To be totally honest I prefer to just use a regular oil like olive, grapeseed, jojoba, coconut, sweet almond, avocado or argan. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll go for NUDE’s Perfect Cleanse Clarifying Oil (on sale here) or Ole Henriksen’s Pure Truth Melting Cleanser (this stuff is so cool!).

It works well for all! I have dry skin and love but my best friend is super oily and loves it too. Only skin type that it might not work for is sensitive as it is relatively abrasive. If you’re sensitive, Acure’s red clay scrub instead.

I cannot recommend Acure’s brightening scrub enough! It’s cheap, really gets rid of the dead skin, isn’t overly rough, and it’s organic.

Supposedly the new applicator provides better color payoff.

Yeah, this article makes it sound like the same wand issue when that’s not the case. Two separate wand complaints.

I don’t think it’s at all true that cheap products just suck. Milani, NYX, Wet n Wild, etc. all put out plenty of products that rival their counterparts sold in Sephora. Colourpop in particular is amazing experience minus this wand snafu! I have their lip products with their old wands and the quality is insane.

I work in a neurology office that specializes in migraines and the most common one we prescribe (because the doctors prefer it for most people) is venlafaxine.

You are the coolest mom :).

FYI: would recommend Beauty Bakerie as an amazing (and black-owned!) alternative. Same price point, quality (even better IMO) and range of colors (although fewer choices).

Also one of my top picks—such a gorgeous color!

Ok, ordering today then! I was due for a pick me up gift for myself anyway. The question is what color to get first... They have a million that I want!

I’ve been wanting to try for so long! Also Beyoncé wears them. And they are a black-owned business! I just wish they were available in physical stores.

Best mascara of all time IMO is Maybelline Full N’ Soft, which is available both online and at CVS!

How did you qualify for such a good Influenster box?! So far all I’ve gotten is a razor :/.

Yeah, because being a Black Panther and engaging in the political process is totally impossible. My congressman founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party, but it sounds like you are more knowledgable than him.
