Having flown Ryanair, I’d say the urge for pre-flight intoxication is entirely understandable.

False dichotomy: they’re both crazy.
Got someone else to drive... ;)
Eh. There are certainly deep seated cultural and geographical reasons for these differences, but simple age probably isn’t one of them. Manhattan, as we generally know it today, was layed out in the early part of the 19th century. Paris, on the other hand, was almost completely re-planned and redeveloped in the 1850s…

Try Airmail. ‘Nuff said.
Perhaps this plays well with the Chinese domestic audience, but to my Western sensibilities it seems incredibly petty and childish. Hardly behavior worthy of a wannabe world power.
Yes. Clearly a complete and total failure of the pedal activation device.
Shouldn't that be on the trunk?
A) I actually have a quite high end system (Top of line Marantz Pre-Pro with separate amp, Anthony Gallo reference speakers, PS Audio external DAC), so yes Virginia, I do care quite a bit about sound quality.
I agree that credit, used responsibly, is a much better deal than debit. Unfortunately there are many, many folks out there who seem to lack the discipline to use credit responsibly.
The cost of equipment isn’t the issue, especially for a company the size of WallMart. It’s the per-transaction interchange fees, which go to the networks like Visa as well as the card issuing banks. Square etc. don't access that cost.
For Walmart this is 100% about money. They want to be able to force debit users onto the cheaper (for them) ACH rails rather than using Visa or Mastercard’s networks. Aside from the consumer impact, Chip & PIN will also require a number of major operating changes for both banks and merchants that may not be immediately obvious, including:
Except the whole “cab companies bought the Austin City Council” narrative is complete B.S. and always has been. There simply isn’t enough of a cash trail to even begin to support it.
A lot of folks seem to forget that, even if Uber and Lyft throw a corporate hissy fit and leave Austin, they can’t take the market for ride sharing with them. Someone else will step in (in fact there are already several competitive services waiting on the wings).
Gotta admit I’m also a fan of Ajin’s OP:

Yes, I realize that for 99.9% of the population, virus versus trojan is a distinction without a difference, but there is one significant aspect I was trying to get at: it’s significantly easier to craft new, bespoke code for a trojan (as opposed to viruses, which are significantly more complex to implement). The…
