I don’t remember stick drift being a thing until it started happening with my first Switch controller. Why is this an issue across the board now? Was I just lucky not to experience it on earlier consoles? What changed?

Granted, you could play Sephiroth briefly in the original (or he was in your party, at least? Now I can’t remember). But I remember using a Gameshark to extract him from that sequence and put him in my party. It was amusing for a bit, but he couldn’t level or equip anything, so his use was limited. You could take his…
If you had asked me, before seeing this article, if I thought QVC was still around, I’d have probably guessed no. I haven’t thought of it in years. This is wild.
One time, when I was pretty young, my step mom bought me this little Legend of Zelda watch that had a game akin to a Tiger handheld game on it. I think…
I keep forgetting to cancel my PS+ and I get charged for it in June, so I’m stuck with another year. I gotta turn that off. I don’t really play multiplayer games and I rarely install any of the free games from the subscription.
My Curiosity Stream/Nebula sub is probably the only one I’ll keep long term. I like that the …
Don’t get me wrong; it’s a cool story. I just would rather play something kinda big budget with the whole team. We never really get anything like that.
I’m definitely still gonna play it, unless it’s universally considered dogshit. And maybe even then...
Even if this sucks, it’s exciting to see some TMNT games in the pipeline. Hopefully at least The Last Ronin is good, even if it’s not exactly what I’d want from a Turtles game.
Keep ‘em coming. Make something other than 2D/2.5D brawlers please.
Appreciate the info!
I will feel weird not using kb/m, but it sounds like the controller is actually pretty decent, so I’ll just get used to it, haha.
I might be joining you in it by the end of the weekend, haha. I should really just install the first one and play that, but uggggggggh.
Quake 2 is good in chunks. You can do a mission if you have, like 30-45 mins? And obviously there’s not really story, so it’s not like you’re gonna forget what happened if you drop off…
Wrapped up Quake 2 this week. Dunno why I didn’t do that 20+ years ago, but it was a good time. Felt like the pacing was good. There were some tricky parts, but it never felt overly hard. And that sound design, baby. A coworker, not knowing what I was playing, said the super shotgun sounded crazy. Nice work, Id.
I’m…
If you had seen what a Deck is capable of, you’d also be surprised. It’s a little beast, man.
How much did you have to fiddle with the settings? I’ve heard mixed reviews on the performance. And I shouldn’t spend the money. But I really want to, so I constantly look for validation that the later game runs well.
I mean, it runs pretty recent games well, as far as I know. I know it’s older now, but I play RDR2 on mine and it looks and runs great. I haven’t tried it, but RE8 is verified on it, and works great, as far as I know.
It’s a surprisingly tough little device. I highly recommend it.
Hopefully you get a chance to reconnect with your cousin and play with them again at some point!
This is a good point. Maybe that’s part of why I never pulled the trigger on a new one after getting HW. It scratches the itch of the DW series well enough that I haven’t needed to jump to another game.
I used to play DW3 and 4 like it was my job. I fell off after that, and every time I wanted to come back, the games had mixed reviews. One of these days I’m gonna just have to spring for whatever the latest one is.
Hyrule Warriors has been a very good substitute the last few years. Dipped a little into the Dragon Quest …
And to be fair, I think western mechs are probably what we’d get, if we got mechs at all. But they’re not fun. Let’s go, Japanese mechs. You’re killing it. As is evident in AC6.
That’s what I thought. And listen, I love Titanfall 2. But I mostly don’t love it for its mechs. I love it for everything else. I just don’t think it’s fair to criticize the mechs in AC6 when they’re pretty decent, generally.
It’s been a minute since I’ve replayed Titanfall 2, but I feel like the titans were way clunkier than the ACs. Am I misremembering? Weren’t they slow and cumbersome?
It definitely takes a little bit to get used to piloting the ACs, but once you get going, they feel pretty good.
Just got home from work and finally checked. Success! Had to change some DNS numbers. Hopefully Sony does a patch, though.
I just wrapped up Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart a couple nights ago. I should also be wrapping the Quake 2 remaster this weekend. I only have a couple of missions left. And wouldn’t you know it? I never actually played very much of the campaign back in the day, so this is actually a first time completion all these…
