Yeah, most of the time it DOES feel easy, and then randomly I’ll just be like deeper into a new zone or something and suddenly I don’t have anything to heal with. It’s never been a boss that’s given me an issue or anything.

I wasn’t cooking at first, so cooking definitely helped boost the number of items I have to heal Read more

Damn. Guess I’ll start banging on walls with my sword. *sigh*

Well, it’s relatively slow going. I usually play for a bit before I go to bed. It’s been really fun. I think my only gripe is that healing kinda sucks? Like, I always feel like I’m scrounging for healing items, or barely making it somewhere safe.

This is my first Ys, but I will probably check out the next one now that Read more

What’s combat in a Yakuza game like compared to Sleeping Dogs?

I wish there were more games that were even remotely kung fu related. You’d think China would be all about cranking out all sorts of games with their folklore, martial arts, and history. It’s all interesting and we have, like, a handful of games and series. Read more

I came to Titanfall 2 way late and have beaten the game three times in the last yearish. The multiplayer is surprisingly fun, even if you suck. It’s always a good suggestion.

Yeah, I haven’t messed around with any covenants in this. I should probably look this stuff up. I might be hamstringing myself.

Yeah, I used to draw all the time as a kid through high school. Then I just stopped. I’m not very good at drawing my own stuff, but I can look at things and copy them pretty well. It does take a shitload of practice, though. If I didn’t already know I could do it, I wouldn’t be trying.

I’m the same way. And if it were a game with interesting side quests and story that you’d be missing out on by skipping, I’d say do those first. But you’d really just be saving yourself a lot of time grinding for no real reason other than to just say you did the thing.

It’s funny, because at the beginning of that he mentions a Patron who bailed because he wasn’t covering games “people care about” or whatever. I had never even heard of Tokimeki Memorial, but I’m four hours into that. I will watch any review he wants to make. You’re not really necessarily watching for the game Read more

I could totally google it, but what even are those tokens for? I got one in Dark Souls 1 and it seems like a currency, but I don’t remember there being anything like that in the game? It’s been so long since I played 3 that I don’t really remember it there, either, but I assume there are more options and systems at Read more

Yeah, I think if you’re, like, chain-casting Knights of the Round, things are going to be very underwhelming. Especially considering how much extra work it will have taken to get there.

WTB everyone’s old copies of Hero Quest. PST!

But in all  seriousness, I did grab a sketch book last weekend. Gonna try to get back into drawing. Much cheaper.

I don’t paint, but I think I feel the same way when I’m in the middle of a good LEGO set. Unfortunately, LEGO is pretty expensive if you consider the price compared to the amount of time you get out of a set. But a big set that takes a bunch of sessions to build can be super relaxing. I struggle to focus in most areas Read more

I’d finish the game first. Come back to the Weapons and whatnot. They’ll always be there if you want to do them, but you might find you’re over it once you’re done with the game. Otherwise, that’s a good recipe for bailing on the game and leaving it unfinished (speaking from experience, haha).

Still chipping away at everything I was last week: Deep Rock Galactic, Ys VIII, Enter the Gungeon, Dark souls.

In DS, I poked around Darkroot Garden a bit, finished Blighttown, and now I’m in Sen’s Fortress. I haven’t played in a few days because I needed a break from the intensity. I think I’m gonna try to get through Read more

That was my thought. Same with The Witcher. At least when the first game dropped.

Whoa, I forgot about the Dostovei. One of my favorite guns in any game.

The camera zooming in on Mario as it goes into first-person is the best part of the whole video. I could watch that on loop for hours.

Yeah, I think the combination of the mom talk and some kid calling me “grease ball” once was enough for me to get it through my head. Now, 20-something years later, I won’t leave the house without taking a shower, even if it’s just to run to the store or something, haha. Traumatized into cleanliness.

It should be easy, but “don’t be an asshole” often translates to “SJWs can’t handle my personality and humor because they’re all a bunch of snowflakes” to some of these people.

Not totally sure about the shower part.

All this is probably true, but I’m guessing some of it is ignorance, too. I was pretty gross until middle school when my mom was like, “Hey man, take a shower more than once a week. No one’s going to want to be around you if you keep going like that.” She probably said it more pleasantly, but that was the gist of it, Read more
