It’s a genre. It describes games that are like the fast-paced FPS games of the 90s. Dusk, Amid Evil, Boltgun, Prodeus, Turbo Overkill. All modern examples of the genre. But they’re in the vein of Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Duke Nukem etc.

Like it or not, it’s as accepted as Metroidvania or Soulslike. And the games

Most skills are really hard to learn. I’ve been boxing for about five years. It’s a night and day difference between me and a new person showing up to the gym for the first time. Then it’s a night and day difference again between me and someone who trains to fight, pro or amateur.

Getting good at things is hard. This

I had never thought about it, but I think he would probably knock it out of the park. It would look cool as shit, anyway.

Very interested in that Granblue RPG. I didn’t play a ton of the fighting game, but it seemed cool and I like the aesthetic (see how you spell that, Elon?).

Last Epoch is really solid. I bought it in early access a year or two ago, I think? I played through the campaign once and then kinda bailed, but it was missing a

If you had asked me, I would have guessed this game came out in 2004. I swear it’s that old. Very surprising, to me, that it’s only 11.

Read this as “with Mountain Dew features,” and was first intrigued, then disappointed.

Ugh, I want it so badly. Waiting for sales.

Should’ve stolen the pet idea from Torchlight, imo.

Yeah... I have so much TMNT stuff, and sadly only one tattoo, but no way I’d drop this much cash. What about a reasonable amount, like 5 bucks apiece or 10-12 for all four? I might spring for that.

I’d do 30, for sure. Definitely not doing 50.

I want it and I’ll replay at as as soon as possible, but I’m definitely not getting it until it’s on like the PSN Black Friday or Winter sale or whatever. Hopefully it comes down by then.

None of these hold a candle to how badly The Raft scared me in Creepshow 2 (and later again when I read the short story.) Lakes and ponds still creep the fuck out of me 25+ years later. I don’t give a fuck about a shark or an alligator.

I can’t remember if I had started Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart last weekend, but I’ve been playing that a bunch. My roommate lent me his copy and it’s been pretty fun. I like how varied the gameplay is. Lots of cool things going on and it’s not a hard game, so it’s easy to just relax and play.

The other night, I

I’m really curious to check out Hammerwatch 2, because when I played the first games, I was like, “This is pretty awesome, but I wish this wasn’t a roguelike.” Seems like they ditched the roguelike aspect and just ran with the RPG? Can’t wait. Hope it’s good.

Right? Like, you were 13-25 then. Now you’re 30+ and you... haven’t had any sort of growth or change of opinions in that time? Yikes.

Still all over the place, but two nights ago I installed Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, and it’s pretty fun. So I’m hoping to get through that in the next few days.

I’m already kind of off Brotato. But I’m on to another Vampire Survivors clone called Halls of Torment. If you can’t tell by the name, it’s heavily

Yeah, I hate it. I also didn’t like that I had to constantly switch out characters in regular battles. Just felt time consuming for no reason. I was replaying last year and I stopped about 20 hours in. It’s not for me.

Edit: Her voice acting isn’t even bad. I believe what she’s saying. But fucking say it faster, man.

Technology lost my mom after VHS, but somehow she still never misnamed a console. Probably because I talked about them so much. But Gameboy was Gameboy, the SNES was the SNES, Playstation was Playstation, etc. Definitely had friends’ parents that just called it all Nintendo, though.

I already knew the reason. I just like to bitch.

Valve take note and give us something better than a little border for our PFP or an emoji I’m never gonna use. I have so, so many Steam points.
