I am confident Trump and his team knew. In a better world, they’d be up on espionage accomplice charges, and we’d get a new election. But Obama’s all chill about everything and wants an ‘orderly transfer of power’ from the White House to the Kremlin. Let no feathers be ruffled!

At this point the only questions are: who on Trump’s team knew what the Russians were up to, and when? Because if any of them—all the way up to the Moldy Cheeto himself—knew and didn’t share what they knew with law enforcement, they’re part of a conspiracy to commit treason.

I hope someone Comey respects sat him down, showed him all the evidence about Russia influencing our election, and then added, “and you helped facilitate an outcome desired by a foreign nation,”.

This is going to be a fucking doozy. Why should Trump take any hardline on Russia at all? In fact, Russia will be emboldened to continue to act like this. Trump gets the presidency and proceeds to enrich himself on a global scale to actually make money for once and Russia gets carte blanche to do whatever it wants and…

The really scary part is how many people are perfectly ok with it and are actually cheering it on because it means that their candidate won.

Realistically, this is the first Trump appointment I’ve heard about that doesn’t actually fill me with rage (so far, at least). In all honesty, given Trump’s other picks, I fully expected Cliven Bundy to be tapped.

I’m actually really happy he picked someone who does not support selling off Federal lands. A lot of the damage the Republicans want to do can be undone, but it would be very hard for the government to reacquire those lands once sold off.

This keeps getting better and better, and he’s not even president yet. The next four years are gonna be a shitstorm like no one has ever seen before.
