What a terrible choice, if that is the case. Highly processed fake meat products isn’t what the vegetarian community wants... It’s a fad. It's also more likely to have sourcing issues, given the extra complexity and limited sources. Plus, not everyone can eat it (I can’t because of the heme). Really, really hoping this…

This is painful to read. An industry so many of us relied on has been gutted, and will likely never truly reach the same levels it was once at.

Getting rid of the potatoes has to be clearing the way for Beyond/Impossible fake meat products, right? I can’t think of any other reason to get rid of a cheap, popular product, other than they might have been a pain to prepare in-store.
