While they aren’t pets, I’ve been feeding peanuts to the magpies that live in my neighborhood lately. They really like whole, in-the-shell peanuts (I checked, these are good for them as long as they aren’t roasted/salted). I live on the 3rd floor of my building and put the peanuts on the railing of my balcony.

I moved out of Syracuse 25 years ago and I can still hear these commercials in my head.

If you drive a sports car on the street there are moments where you can use that capability if you choose. A wide open on ramp to a fast moving interstate is a lot more fun in a Mustang than a Corolla. Same with a big sweeping off ramp. It’s even better if you’ve got some rural twisty roads near you.

Likely not worth it, I doubt the profit margin would be there. Dieselgate was profitable for owners (like me) because VW defrauded people at purchase time, they knew they weren’t emissions compliant and claimed they were.

This.

It’s Shilling, unjustified angst is his schtick.

The free market did sort it out, you can pay more to have a better car.

My brother-in-law built a still in college and one of the things he distilled was Natural Light. I dunno what the abv of the results were, but he said it was one of the most vile things he ever drank.

Current Golf R is kinda ruined due to extensive modification.

What you described is how it works in non unionized workplaces.

Agreed.

That, and they already accomplished their legitimate missions. 40 hour work week, paid sick leave, working conditions that don’t result in immediate death, etc. Most of what the union bought you is now law, you get it whether you’re unionized or not.

Pretty sure that’s only legal in a few counties in Nevada.

I’ve found “Whatever warranty you’re selling is just going to get voided when I mod this thing” is pretty good at getting them to shut up about it.

How do they calculate these emissions? Are cheeseburgers high because cows fart a lot?

It’s important to help those less fortunate than you, and these poor souls clearly need the help.

So the flipside of this is my first job was working at a Coldstone and I made a lot of waffle cones, I smelled like waffles all the time. My gf at the time thought it was great.

I’ve done all 3 of those roles and I’d put sales retail ahead of food service just because of pace, which directly relates to your assholes per hour metric. Food had a higher pace, which meant more assholes per hour. When I was doing sales it was non-commission so that helped as I got paid whether anyone bought

You ain’t wrong:

And now you know why that spot actually isn’t eligible for speed bumps, it generates too much revenue in it’s existing configuration.
