Uh yeah. I was at Target the other day and stumbled upon a giant section of Chip and Joanna stuff. Then I made some loud comment to my husband about them being homophobes and earned myself a dirty look from some lady with a cart full of their generic crap.

I hadn’t thought about the facelift option- I was actually wondering about some kind of domestic violence (note: I know nothing about her husband and have no reason to think he’s abusive- her story about the fall just sounded a little off).

Well, I’ve been living in Wisconsin for the last 14 years, but hoping to move back to MI in 2019 to be closer to family (so 2 more left-leaning voters and a future lefty voter are on the way!). But from what I hear, there is some hope. West Michigan is becoming much more progressive than it used to be, and if this

Absolutely. It’s a scary world out there nowadays :(

Am I missing something? My understanding of the whole Janet situation is that it was a planned move that went awry when the layer of clothing underneath didn’t stay put like it was supposed to. While the treatment Janet received after that was flat out wrong (especially given that Justin faced no

Yes, your teenage son. I work in a high school and this is happening ALL OF THE TIME. Even the “nice” boys from the “good” families are pleading, coercing, and threatening girls for nudes. We used to report it to the local police (since we’re mandated reporters) but they refuse to do anything about it, claiming it’s

If it passes, which they are thinking is very possible given how easily signatures were collected, it would establish an independent commission with open meetings to re-draw district boundaries. So no, it hasn’t actually passed yet, but just getting it on the ballot is a pretty big deal.

Oh GAWD. Him. My brother and SIL are in his district. Of course they also were represented by crazy eyed Cindy Gamrat in the State House, too.

HECK YES, I was proud to sign that petition.

His worst offenses seem to be cultural appropriation and some tone-deaf comments about race.

As a Michigan native (and someone who is possibly moving back to my hometown in the next year or two) this is really good news! But, speaking of MI, I’m wondering why Jezebel hasn’t given any attention to the fact that activists have gotten more than enough signatures to get an anti-gerrymandering amendment on the

I was thinking he looks like 45* wearing a disguise that isn’t fooling anyone.

The first picture seriously looks like she barfed up spinach lasagna all over herself. After having her arms amputated.

Actually I’m quite familiar with how self-checkouts work. I’m also familiar with how they don’t work well when the sensors aren’t set correctly and don’t register light things put into the bag (like kitchen sponges), or mis-read heavy things as more than one item. Or when the contents of the bag shift and it thinks

THIS. The self-checkout is NEVER faster, even when you just have a few items, because you always end up needing to wait for the person monitoring the self-checkout lanes to come over and fix something. The machines are always freezing up, or yelling at you to place your item in the bag when you already DID put it in

Yup, plus they need to know who you are in case they need to contact you with follow up questions. Plus if they open a case and it gets to criminal charges (which is very rare), you may need to be interviewed by the police and/or testify.

As others have said, definitely do NOT live with this guy, for SO many reasons. It’s NEVER a good idea to live with someone you have a crush on (whether unrequited or mutual), especially when you’ve never met them in person.
