Correction: CPS reports are confidential, but usually not anonymous. They’ll ask for your name and contact info but they don’t disclose that to the alleged abuser. Generally if you refuse to give your name, they don’t take your report seriously.

It’s enamelware- it was in our kitchen collecting dust, so I thought it was better for it to be used/played with. I think we got it in a box lot at an auction years ago, maybe?

Agreed. Routine testing during pregnancy probably wouldn’t have led to the discovery of an enlarged heart- they wouldn’t really look for that unless they had a reason to. I had LOTS of testing during pregnancy (was over 35, gestational diabetes, and pre-term labor), but nothing that would have revealed any cardiac…

I have a “Nevertheless, she persisted” t-shirt that I got from a female-owned shop on etsy. I don’t just wear it because it’s “fashionable,” I wear it as a message to all of the teenage girls I work with, and to my daughter...even though she is a toddler and can’t read it.

I suspect this is the case- it’s not like there are lots of LV stores in the Detroit area.

I think you can start as early as 6-8 weeks. We didn’t realize the importance, and at 7 months when we tried to get her to sleep in her crib in her own room (as opposed to in our room), it was a disaster. After like 6 AWFUL sleepless weeks, we got the book (recommended by my SIL and our pediatrician) and we finally…

Happiest Baby on the Block is a pretty decent book. I would also HIGHLY recommend Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby for when you’re ready to start sleep training. It saved us- I just wish we’d gotten it sooner.
