I wouldn’t choose the CLA above any of those cars either, except maybe the Audi, as I’m not a fan of VAG. Honda materials are garbage, although the Acura badge rectifies that problem. I agree ergonomics are poor.

Automotive journalists aren’t universally correct; personally, I think the Accord interior is atrocious, at any trim level or price point. Have you been in a CLA? It definitely feels more premium, at least within the first five minutes. Here is an interesting writeup to consider:
Well, people pay over $40k for an STI with the complete shit box Impreza interior... it’s not like it’s unprecedented.
I’ll play devil’s advocate on this one. Firstly, Mercedes mostly sells AWD CLAs, the FWD is actually quite rare. Secondly, the interior is quite nice when compared to comparable cars in that price range; I personally found it to be nicer than an Accord EX-L. I haven’t driven one, so I can’t comment beyond those two…
Side profile reminds me of an NB, much moreso than the ND Miata.
“a sexier-looking yaris with a fart can” lol
New RR Sport is supposed to be good.
I don’t understand any of the love for this car. The design was just mediocre to begin with, and looks worse every day.
Well obviously if you’re “about to pull the trigger” you’ve driven both cars already, so presumably this QOTD wouldn’t even apply to you.
Here is a boring one: every single Honda Accord I’ve ever driven (all two of them). About ten years ago I wanted a comfortable automatic sedan with a V6 for less than$10k. I was leaning heavily toward a ~2000 Honda Accord v6. Drove one back to back with a v6 Solara- the Solara was miles smoother and just generally…
This is fucking dumb- you ask one question, then use a different one for the answer of the day. There is a big difference between which cars have the worst owners, and which ones have the worst mods. Worst so, this list includes answers better suited to one vs. the other- case in point, the G-Wagen- driven by douches,…
I’ve never met either of these types of owners.
All you Jalopnik guys on Doug’s nuts should check out the kinds of comments he receives on TTAC posts.... seriously, look at his article today. The contrast in comments is amusing.
If you’re into the whole light car with a small engine, you should really think about the weight of the wheels that you add. Makes a big difference in feel. Look up what all the miata guys say about unsprung weight.
tell me again why I’m reading this for the third time?
This list would really benefit from including examples.
Might make sense if Kinja didn’t fucking suck.
My lord this one is getting old.

Also a masters in brown nosing.
