Go to Europe, lots of MBs that make a CLA look and feel fancy. CLA exists there too, not so many complaints. North Americans have a different view of the brand.

IRL they look really nice to me. In the end it really is just a dressed up Expedition. There are no new options that aren’t available on a Platinum Expedition. With GM, Cadi puts a monstrous motor in the Escalade that you can’t get on the Tahoe and some really nice options that arent available on the Tahoe and Yukon.…
Some people like the way it looks? Especially if the other options are “wood.”
I like the circular piece of shag carpet they have on the dash too. The first time I saw one I thought the owner was just weird. Little did I know every Cube has one.
Carriage lamps. Ford and Lincoln seemed to be the worst offenders back in the late 70s.

Every single detail on this thing is wrong. This is the only vehicle currently on the market with a “Choose Your Own Bad Detail Adventure”.
Many cars and trucks do it but I always think it’s gaudy when they stitch logos in the seats (raptor and Dodge Laramie Longhorn edition below)

E39 M5 that I bought online w/o seeing from across the country and had shipped. Just kidding, that car is f’in awesome. Just got back from a milk run joy ride.
Thought experiment: change “AirBnB” to “DrUGs” in that paragraph.
“how many communities have been held together”
Yea, right. Just like Uber, they don't give a shit as long as the money keeps rolling in.
Oh c’mon the rants about the G35/350Z were gold, even if you did mention it at the start of your last post. That car should be No. 1, not No. Oneder-why-it’s-not-listed
I’m not entirely sure I agree with this. Sure, both of those people exist, but as a former Miata owner one of the things I miss about it the most is its excellent and diverse enthusiast community. Yes, people track these cars and are enthusiastic about it, but I don’t see anything wrong with that. Beyond that there…
Agree. I can’t imagine anyone owning this car who isn’t the kind of person to look down to others for just about anything.
The G35 is the best example I can think of. I’m shopping for a used sedan, preferably 2008 or newer, and with a V6. The G SHOULD top the list, being RWD and possessing virtually bulletproof drivetrain. It’s a great car to drive IF you can find one that hasn’t been ruined. But it’s not just that. It’s the people who…
I don’t even understand why people buy these. Okay, so they want to look important and menacing in their AMG G-wagen wrapped in matte black, but why pay so much money for a decades-old car when you could have a modern Range Rover or a BMW SUV? The sound-proofing and ride quality must be awful.
Well, I’ve had a fairly pristine 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT for several years now, fully original, except for replacing the OEM Bridgestone tires with OEM-sized Michelins, and I don’t regret my purchase for one second. Who cares if most people that buy one butcher... erm, modify it as a way of expressing themselves. It’s a…
It’s dead sexy regardless.
