In college, and still now (nearly 6 years out) I worked at a haunted summer camp.

Since this is clearly a bid for the next phase of Marvel movies, I think this was really just a laying the groundwork movie more than anything. And it really felt like it. Just like the first Captain America they leaned heavily on the time period stuff to make up for the lack of substance.

Right??? I’m so glad she wasn’t romantically involved with Jude Law. That’s the way I figured they were going to go, and I’m happy they didn’t.

I will love any movie that involves meaningful conversation between women not about a man and a hero cat. 

Annette Bening was a fantastic surprise. I was pleased that Carol didn’t have a love interest, it’s refreshing to take my daughters to a movie that isn’t “girl finds boy” in various situations.

Agreed, except I don’t think that was her fault. It took two movies before we got Chris Evans as the definitive Captain America, four movies before Chris Hemsworth really nailed it as Thor, two movies before Scarlett Johansson was properly used as Black Widow, really only Robert Downie Jr. nailed it the first time…
