Not in a civil case they won’t. You’re only afforded a lawyer (if you cannot afford one) in criminal cases.

There is quite a bit they can do. They can potentially garnish wages and tax returns. They can potentially seize assets and bank accounts. They can also through people in jail under circumstances for violating a court order.

There is a LOT they can do. For one thing, rule against you, as happened here. Maybe it would’ve happened anyway... maybe not, depending what he had to say for himself. He’ll never know.
