Way worse - from a “violating a friend’s trust” - to sleep with his daughter.  Sleeping with the mom will eventually end up with “how fucking drunk were you anyway?”, but the daughter likely wouldn’t ever be forgiven.

But, the airlines make that problem worse by making it uneconomical to pay for the upgrade.
