This is the rip-off-the-bandaid approach to the handling the mess years of lackadaisical immigration enforcement has produced.

That’s basically his point, right? He throws inside to brush guys back when they’re crowding the plate. He hits some of them because his control isn’t very good. The argument here -that pitchers shouldn’t try to throw inside because it’s dangerous- is asinine.

The point is to effectively suspended them for one start. It’s not like they don’t know starting pitchers don’t play every day. Suspending them for five starts would be the equivalent of 20+ games for a position player, which is pretty severe.
