Wouldn’t it have been cheaper to just bring back the Great Outdoor Games? That aired during my prime bar-frequenting years and there was nothing better to see on the TVs than dog leaping and agility contest, dudes shimmying up a pole to saw off the top, and logrolling.

I was very pleased recently when watching The Muppet Movie with my daughter I had a, “what else has that guy been in?,” moment looking at Doc Hopper’s lackey. Looked it up and, BAM, the My Cousin Vinny public defender.

Dammit I miss deep dish sometimes. Left Chicago 4 years ago and the Dallas suburbs don’t have shit for good delivery. Lou Malnati’s was the best, btw, Giordano’s was subpar, and Chicago’s Pizza, while shitty, was my late night savior (Missed more than a few orders due to passing out before the dude arrived).

I’m in my 40s and I grew up watching NASCAR every week (dad’s still a big fan) and as recently as 10 years ago I even kept a cursory tab on things like which race was coming up, who was leading the standings, etc, to be able to have a respectable level of conversation with my dad over the phone.
