I’m glad Elf comes from the era of the 90-minute comedy; if this had been stretched to bloated two-hours-plus Judd Apatow length, I think Buddy would become impossible to tolerate.

I feel like I’ve seen at least half a dozen different ads and trailers for this movie, and none of them seem to have any overlapping plot points.

It helps that they’re playing Dookie and American Idiot in full on most dates. My family lives in central PA and I’m taking my sister to see the Hershey show.

The Batman Forever soundtrack is excellent as well, and much better than the source material.

My favorite moment from the prequels was when I saw Attack of the Clones in the theater, and when Anakin gave the sand speech, the entire room started laughing.

Flaherty was sublime in Freaks and Geeks, and I loved him on SCTV, but I’ll also always have a soft spot for his role as a ne’er-do-well Muppet-napper in Follow That Bird.

I’m reminded of Foreigner’s “Waiting for a Girl Like You”, the second-biggest hit song of 1981-1982, which spent 10 weeks in the #2 slot of the Billboard Hot 100, nine of them behind the biggest hit song of 1981-1982, Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical”.

I put in a solid 120 hours on the second game on the PS4, I thought it ran fine.
