They seem pretty convinced at this point that not having a real abort system on the shuttles was a big mistake (obviously would have been useful in the Challenger disaster).

I’d imagine putting capsules in cargo would make a mockery of any launch abort or other emergency escape situation. SpaceX might be ok with that, and I’m sure you could still find people willing to risk it, but I imagine regulators would be unhappy, and I’m sure NASA would frown on it for its astronauts.

The point is that will a salary cap, if you pay Elliot more, you are going to have to pay someone else less (who is probably working just as hard). If you want to be an effective team, there’s no room for sentimentality there.

In a salary capped league, it doesn’t matter that Jones could pay it many times over, because player salaries become a zero-sum game. If he gives Elliot more than he’s worth, he can’t give that money to someone else. So the team as a whole gets worse, or he has to underpay someone else.

Is nobody else on the Cowboys grinding every Sunday?

But good running backs are not hard to come by. And having a good running back doesn’t do much to help you win.

Every flight I’ve been on for ages (usually United, but also Delta and American) has the flight attendants inform you that you are only allowed to use the lavatories in your cabin as part of the standard boilerplate announcements. I follow that if possible, but I did use the first-class restroom on a recent flight

Yeah, the draft does pre-date free-agency, but that doesn’t mean that it serves the same purpose now that it did when it was created.

No belt is fine for a correctly tailored suit. Indeed a lot of people will tell you it’s preferable (ideally the waist should fit well enough that a belt doesn’t do anything).

He’s younger than that. Silent generation or some such.

Even if some of it can’t be done because of centrist Democrats, I’d still rather have the person who thinks it’s a good idea in charge than the person who would be blocking it under a Warren presidency.

Impeachment happens without impact on the Senate. If he is impeached (and it seems likely at this point), then the Senate would hold an impeachment trial to determine if he should be removed (there’s some question as to whether the turtle would just ignore it, but he’s said he would hold a trial). The president is

Torch did a story on these a few year ago:

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed that Torch didn’t follow up on this:

Not disagreeing. The fact the money is obscene doesn’t mean that they didn’t contribute to the growth of the economy or that we should discourage them from seeking further growth. We shouldn’t feel bad about a wealth tax, but the levels Tippi are talking means that the wealthy are going to prioritize hiding their

Nope. That’s garbage. If you produce a 2% return, you are shit at what you do, and that money would be much better invested elsewhere.

No, because there was no chance to get the guy at home.

Well mainly it’s because the owners don’t want to screw over other owners. This is less because the love each other and more because their team will be worth less if there’s an option for a $1.75B MLB team to become a $30M AAA team. No one wants to risk that sort of loss. And if you are keeping teams around, you need

Which is neither are particular large amount, nor out of proportion to the US’s size and wealth. Indeed The UK with a 5th of the US’s population and a 7th of it’s GDP contributes 10.5%, Germany with a quarter of the US’s population and 5th of our GDP contributes 14.7%, France (1/5, 1/7): 10.5%, Italy (1/5, 1/7): 8%,

Hey now, Roombas have cameras now, so they only sometimes bump into stuff.
